Surah Al-Furqaan (الفرقان) is the 25th Surah of the Holy Quran, located in Para 18. It is a Meccan Surah with 77 Ayahs. Its name translates to "The Criterion".
Allazee lahoo mulkus samaawaati wal ardi wa lam yattakhiz waladanw wa lam yakul lahoo shareekun filmulki wa khalaqa kulla shai'in faqaddarahoo taqdeeraa
He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and who has not taken a son and has not had a partner in dominion and has created each thing and determined it with [precise] determination.
وہ جس کے لیے ہے آسمانوں اور زمین کی بادشاہت اور اس نے نہ اختیار فرمایا بچہ اور اس کی سلطنت میں کوئی ساجھی نہیں اس نے ہر چیز پیدا کرکے ٹھیک اندازہ پر رکھی،
वह खुदा कि सारे आसमान व ज़मीन की बादशाहत उसी की है और उसने (किसी को) न अपना लड़का बनाया और न सल्तनत में उसका कोई शरीक है और हर चीज़ को (उसी ने पैदा किया) फिर उस अन्दाज़े से दुरुस्त किया
Wattakhazoo min dooniheee aahihatal laa yakhluqoona shai'anw wa hum yukhlaqoona wa laa yamlikoona li anfusihim darranw wa laa naf'anw wa laa yamlikoona mawtanw wa laa hayaatanw wa laa nushooraa
But they have taken besides Him gods which create nothing, while they are created, and possess not for themselves any harm or benefit and possess not [power to cause] death or life or resurrection.
اور لوگوں نے اس کے سوا اور خدا ٹھہرالیے کہ وہ کچھ نہیں بناتے اور خود پیدا کیے گئے ہیں اور خود اپنی جانوں کے برے بھلے کے مالک نہیں اور نہ مرنے کا اختیار نہ جینے کا نہ اٹھنے کا،
और लोगों ने उसके सिवा दूसरे दूसरे माबूद बना रखें हैं जो कुछ भी पैदा नहीं कर सकते बल्कि वह खुद दूसरे के पैदा किए हुए हैं और वह खुद अपने लिए भी न नुक़सान पर क़ाबू रखते हैं न नफा पर और न मौत ही पर एख़्तियार रखते हैं और न ज़िन्दगी पर और न मरने बाद जी उठने पर
Wa qaalal lazeena kafarooo in haazaaa illaaa ifkunif taraahu wa a'aanahoo 'alaihi qawmun aakharoona faqad jaaa'oo zulmanw wa zooraa
And those who disbelieve say, "This [Qur'an] is not except a falsehood he invented, and another people assisted him in it." But they have committed an injustice and a lie.
اور کافر بولے یہ تو نہیں مگر ایک بہتان جو انہوں نے بنالیا ہے اور اس پر اور لوگوں نے انہیں مدد دی ہے بیشک وہ ظلم اور جھوٹ پر آئے،
और जो लोग काफिर हो गए बोल उठे कि ये (क़ुरान) तो निरा झूठ है जिसे उस शख्स (रसूल) ने अपने जी से गढ़ लिया और कुछ और लोगों ने इस इफतिरा परवाज़ी में उसकी मदद भी की है
Wa qaalooo asaateerul awwaleenak tatabahaa fahiya tumlaa 'alaihi bukratanw wa aseelaa
And they say, "Legends of the former peoples which he has written down, and they are dictated to him morning and afternoon."
اور بولے اگلوں کی کہانیاں ہیں جو انہوں نے لکھ لی ہیں تو وہ ان پر صبح و شام پڑھی جاتی ہیں،
तो यक़ीनन ख़ुद उन ही लोगों ने ज़ुल्म व फरेब किया है और (ये भी) कहा कि (ये तो) अगले लोगों के ढकोसले हैं जिसे उसने किसी से लिखवा लिया है पस वही सुबह व शाम उसके सामने पढ़ा जाता है
Wa qaaloo maa li haazar Rasooli yaakulut ta'aama wa yamshee fil aswaaq; law laaa unzila ilaihi malakun fa yakoona ma'ahoo nazeeraa
And they say, "What is this messenger that eats food and walks in the markets? Why was there not sent down to him an angel so he would be with him a warner?
اور بولے اور رسول کو کیا ہوا کھانا کھاتا ہے اور بازاروں میں چلتا ہے (ف۹۱۶ کیوں نہ اتارا گیا ان کے ساتھ کوئی فرشتہ کہ ان کے ساتھ ڈر سناتا
और उन लोगों ने (ये भी) कहा कि ये कैसा रसूल है जो खाना खाता है और बाज़ारों में चलता है फिरता है उसके पास कोई फरिश्ता क्यों नहीं नाज़िल होता कि वह भी उसके साथ (ख़ुदा के अज़ाब से) डराने वाला होता
Aw yulqaaa ilaihi kanzun aw takoonu lahoo jannatuny yaakulu minhaa; wa qaalaz zaalimoona in tattabi'oona illaa rajulam mas hooraa
Or [why is not] a treasure presented to him [from heaven], or does he [not] have a garden from which he eats?" And the wrongdoers say, "You follow not but a man affected by magic."
یا غیب سے انہیں کوئی خزانہ مل جاتا یا ان کا کوئی باغ ہوتا جس میں سے کھاتے اور ظالم بولے تم تو پیروی نہیں کرتے مگر ایک ایسے مرد کی جس پر جادو ہوا
(कम से कम) इसके पास ख़ज़ाना ही ख़ज़ाना ही (आसमान से) गिरा दिया जाता या (और नहीं तो) उसके पास कोई बाग़ ही होता कि उससे खाता (पीता) और ये ज़ालिम (कुफ्फ़ार मोमिनों से) कहते हैं कि तुम लोग तो बस ऐसे आदमी की पैरवी करते हो जिस पर जादू कर दिया गया है
Tabaarakal lazeee in shaaa'a ja'ala laka khairam min zaalika jannaatin tajree min tahtihal anhaaru wa yaj'al laka qusooraa
Blessed is He who, if He willed, could have made for you [something] better than that - gardens beneath which rivers flow - and could make for you palaces.
بڑی برکت والا ہے وہ کہ اگر چاہے تو تمہارے لیے بہت بہتر اس سے کردے جنتیں جن کے نیچے نہریں بہیں اور کرے گا تمہارے لیے اونچے اونچے محل،
ख़ुदा तो ऐसा बारबरकत है कि अगर चाहे तो (एक बाग़ क्या चीज़ है) इससे बेहतर बहुतेरे ऐसे बाग़ात तुम्हारे वास्ते पैदा करे जिन के नीचे नहरें जारी हों और (बाग़ात के अलावा उनमें) तुम्हारे वास्ते महल बना दे
Bal kazzaboo bis Saa'ati wa a'tadnaa liman kazzaba bis Saa'ati sa'eeraa
But they have denied the Hour, and We have prepared for those who deny the Hour a Blaze.
بلکہ یہ تو قیامت کو جھٹلاتے ہیں، اور جو قیامت کو جھٹلائے ہم نے اس کے لیے تیار کر رکھی ہے بھڑکتی ہوئی آگ،
(ये सब कुछ नहीं) बल्कि (सच यूँ है कि) उन लोगों ने क़यामत ही को झूठ समझा है और जिस शख्स ने क़यामत को झूठ समझा उसके लिए हमने जहन्नुम को (दहका के) तैयार कर रखा है
Qul azaalika khairun am Jannatul khuldil latee wu'idal muttaqoon; kaanat lahum jazaaa'anw wa maseeraa
Say, "Is that better or the Garden of Eternity which is promised to the righteous? It will be for them a reward and destination.
تم فرماؤ کیا یہ بھلا یا وہ ہمیشگی کے باغ جس کا وعدہ ڈر والوں کو ہے، وہ ان کا صلہ اور انجام ہے،
(ऐ रसूल) तुम पूछो तो कि जहन्नुम बेहतर है या हमेशा रहने का बाग़ (बेहश्त) जिसका परहेज़गारों से वायदा किया गया है कि वह उन (के आमाल) का सिला होगा और आख़िरी ठिकाना
Wa Yawma yahshuruhum wa maa ya'budoona min doonil lahi fa yaqoolu 'a-antum adlaltum 'ibaadee haaa'ulaaa'i am hum dallus sabeel
And [mention] the Day He will gather them and that which they worship besides Allah and will say, "Did you mislead these, My servants, or did they [themselves] stray from the way?"
اور جس دن اکٹھا کرے گا انہیں اور جن کوا لله کے سوا پوجتے ہیں پھر ان معبودو ں سے فرمائے گا کیا تم نے گمراہ کردیے یہ میرے بندے یا یہ خود ہی راہ بھولے
और जिस दिन ख़ुदा उन लोगों को और जिनकी ये लोग ख़ुदा को छोड़कर परसतिश किया करते हैं (उनको) जमा करेगा और पूछेगा क्या तुम ही ने हमारे उन बन्दों को गुमराह कर दिया था या ये लोग खुद राह रास्ते से भटक गए थे
Qaaloo Subhaanaka maa kaana yambaghee lanaaa an nattakhiza min doonika min awliyaaa'a wa laakim matta'tahum wa aabaaa'ahum hattaa nasuz zikra wa kaanoo qawmam booraa
They will say, "Exalted are You! It was not for us to take besides You any allies. But You provided comforts for them and their fathers until they forgot the message and became a people ruined."
وہ عرض کریں گے پاکی ہے تجھ کو ہمیں سزاوار (حق) نہ تھا کہ تیرے سوا کسی اور کو مولیٰ بنائیں لیکن تو نے انہیں اور ان کے باپ داداؤں کو برتنے دیا یہاں تک کہ وہ تیری یاد بھول گئے اور یہ لوگ تھے ہی ہلاک ہونے والے
(उनके माबूद) अर्ज़ करेंगें- सुबहान अल्लाह (हम तो ख़ुद तेरे बन्दे थे) हमें ये किसी तरह ज़ेबा न था कि हम तुझे छोड़कर दूसरे को अपना सरपरस्त बनाते (फिर अपने को क्यों कर माबूद बनाते) मगर बात तो ये है कि तू ही ने इनको बाप दादाओं को चैन दिया-यहाँ तक कि इन लोगों ने (तेरी) याद भुला दी और ये ख़ुद हलाक होने वाले लोग थे
Faqad kazzabookum bimaa taqooloona famaa tastatee'oona sarfanw wa laa nasraa; wa mai yazlim minkum nuziqhu 'azaaban kabeeraa
So they will deny you, [disbelievers], in what you say, and you cannot avert [punishment] or [find] help. And whoever commits injustice among you - We will make him taste a great punishment.
تو اب معبودوں نے تمہاری بات جھٹلادی تو اب تم نہ عذاب پھیرسکو نہ اپنی مدد کرسکو اور تم میں جو ظالم ہے ہم اسے بڑا عذاب چکھائیں گے،
तब (काफ़िरों से कहा जाएगा कि) तुम जो कुछ कह रहे हो उसमें तो तुम्हारे माबूदों ने तुम्हें झूठला दिया तो अब तुम न (हमारे अज़ाब के) टाल देने की सकत रखते हो न किसी से मदद ले सकते हो और (याद रखो) तुममें से जो ज़ुल्म करेगा हम उसको बड़े (सख्त) अज़ाब का (मज़ा) चखाएगें
Wa maaa arsalnaa qablaka minal mursaleena illaaa innahum la yaakuloonat ta'aama wa yamshoona fil aswaaq; wa ja'alnaa ba'dakum liba'din fitnatan atasbiroon; wa kaana Rabbuka Baseera
And We did not send before you, [O Muhammad], any of the messengers except that they ate food and walked in the markets. And We have made some of you [people] as trial for others - will you have patience? And ever is your Lord, Seeing.
اور ہم نے تم سے پہلے جتنے رسول بھیجے سب ایسے ہی تھے کھانا کھاتے اور بازاروں میں چلتے اور ہم نے تم میں ایک کو دوسرے کی جانچ کیا ہے اور اے لوگو! کیا تم صبر کرو گے اور اے محبوب! تمہارا رب دیکھتا ہے
और (ऐ रसूल) हमने तुम से पहले जितने पैग़म्बर भेजे वह सब के सब यक़ीनन बिला शक खाना खाते थे और बाज़ारों में चलते फिरते थे और हमने तुम में से एक को एक का (ज़रिया) आज़माइश बना दिया (मुसलमानों) क्या तुम अब भी सब्र करते हो (या नहीं) और तुम्हारा परवरदिगार (सब की) देख भाल कर रहा है
Wa qaalal lazeena laa yarjoona liqaaa'anaa law laaa unzila 'alainal malaaa'ikatu awnaraa Rabbanaa; laqadistakbaroo feee anfusihim wa 'ataw 'utuwwan kabeeraa
And those who do not expect the meeting with Us say, "Why were not angels sent down to us, or [why] do we [not] see our Lord?" They have certainly become arrogant within themselves and [become] insolent with great insolence.
اور بولے وہ جو ہمارے ملنے کی امید نہیں رکھتے ہم پر فرشتے کیوں نہ اتارے یا ہم اپنے رب کو دیکھتے بیشک اپنے جی میں بہت ہی اونچی کھینچی (سرکشی کی) اور بڑی سرکشی پر آئے
और जो लोग (क़यामत में) हमारी हुज़ूरी की उम्मीद नहीं रखते कहा करते हैं कि आख़िर फरिश्ते हमारे पास क्यों नहीं नाज़िल किए गए या हम अपने परवरदिगार को (क्यों नहीं) देखते उन लोगों ने अपने जी में अपने को (बहुत) बड़ा समझ लिया है और बड़ी सरकशी की
Wa qaalal lazeena kafaroo law laa nuzzila 'alaihil Quraanu jumlatanw waahidah; kazaalika linusabbita bihee fu'aadaka wa rattalnaahu tarteelaa
And those who disbelieve say, "Why was the Qur'an not revealed to him all at once?" Thus [it is] that We may strengthen thereby your heart. And We have spaced it distinctly.
اور کافر بولے قرآن ان پر ایک ساتھ کیوں نہ اتار دیا ہم نے یونہی بتدریج سے اتارا ہے کہ اس سے تمہارا دل مضبوط کریں اور ہم نے اسے ٹھہر ٹھہر کر پڑھا
और कुफ्फार कहने लगे कि उनके ऊपर (आख़िर) क़ुरान का कुल (एक ही दफा) क्यों नहीं नाज़िल किया गया (हमने) इस तरह इसलिए (नाज़िल किया) ताकि तुम्हारे दिल को तस्कीन देते रहें और हमने इसको ठहर ठहर कर नाज़िल किया
Wa qawma Noohil lammaa kazzabur Rusula aghraqnaahum wa ja'alnaahum linnaasi Aayatanw wa a'tadnaa lizzaalimeena 'azaaban aleemaa
And the people of Noah - when they denied the messengers, We drowned them, and We made them for mankind a sign. And We have prepared for the wrongdoers a painful punishment.
اور نوح کی قوم کو جب انہوں نے رسولوں کو جھٹلایا ہم نے ان کو ڈبو دیا اور انہیں لوگوں کے لیے نشانی کردیا اور ہم نے ظالموں کے لیے دردناک عذاب تیار کر رکھا ہے،
और नूह की क़ौम को जब उन लोगों ने (हमारे) पैग़म्बरों को झुठलाया तो हमने उन्हें डुबो दिया और हमने उनको लोगों (के हैरत) की निशानी बनाया और हमने ज़ालिमों के वास्ते दर्दनाक अज़ाब तैयार कर रखा है
Wa laqad ataw 'alal qaryatil lateee umtirat mataras saw'; afalam yakoonoo yarawnahaa; bal kaanoo laa yarjoona nushooraa
And they have already come upon the town which was showered with a rain of evil. So have they not seen it? But they are not expecting resurrection.
اور ضرور یہ ہو آئے ہیں اس بستی پر جس پر برا برساؤ برسا تھا تو کیا یہ اسے دیکھتے نہ تھے بلکہ انہیں جی اٹھنے کی امید تھی ہی نہیں
हमने उनको ख़ूब सत्यानास कर छोड़ा और ये लोग (कुफ्फ़ारे मक्का) उस बस्ती पर (हो) आए हैं जिस पर (पत्थरों की) बुरी बारिश बरसाई गयी तो क्या उन लोगों ने इसको देखा न होगा मगर (बात ये है कि) ये लोग मरने के बाद जी उठने की उम्मीद नहीं रखते (फिर क्यों ईमान लाएँ)
Wa izaa ra awka iny yattakhizoonaka illaa huzuwan ahaazal lazee ba'asal laahu Rasoolaa
And when they see you, [O Muhammad], they take you not except in ridicule, [saying], "Is this the one whom Allah has sent as a messenger?
اور جب تمہیں دیکھتے ہیں تو تمہیں نہیں ٹھہراتے مگر ٹھٹھا کیا یہ ہیں جن کو اللہ نے رسول بناکر بھیجا،
और (ऐ रसूल) ये लोग तुम्हें जब देखते हैं तो तुम से मसख़रा पन ही करने लगते हैं कि क्या यही वह (हज़रत) हैं जिन्हें अल्लाह ने रसूल बनाकर भेजा है (माज़ अल्लाह)
In kaada la yudillunaa 'an aalihatinaa law laaa an sabarnaa 'alaihaa; wa sawfa ya'lamoona heena yarawnal 'azaaba man adallu sabeela
He almost would have misled us from our gods had we not been steadfast in [worship of] them." But they are going to know, when they see the punishment, who is farthest astray in [his] way.
قریب تھا کہ یہ ہمیں ہمارے خداؤں سے بہکادیں اگر ہم ان پر صبر نہ کرتے اور اب جانا چاہتے ہیں جس دن عذاب دیکھیں گے کہ کون گمراہ تھا
अगर बुतों की परसतिश पर साबित क़दम न रहते तो इस शख्स ने हमको हमारे माबूदों से बहका दिया था और बहुत जल्द (क़यामत में) जब ये लोग अज़ाब को देखेंगें तो उन्हें मालूम हो जाएगा कि राहे रास्त से कौन ज्यादा भटका हुआ था
Am tahsabu annna aksarahum yasma'oona aw ya''qiloon; in hum illaa kal an'aami bal hum adallu sabeelan
Or do you think that most of them hear or reason? They are not except like livestock. Rather, they are [even] more astray in [their] way.
یا یہ سمجھتے ہو کہ ان میں بہت کچھ سنتے یا سمجھتے ہیں وہ تو نہیں مگر جیسے چوپائے بلکہ ان سے بھی بدتر گمراہ
क्या ये तुम्हारा ख्याल है कि इन (कुफ्फ़ारों) में अक्सर (बात) सुनते या समझते है (नहीं) ये तो बस बिल्कुल मिसल जानवरों के हैं बल्कि उन से भी ज्यादा राह (रास्त) से भटके हुए
Alam tara ilaa Rabbika kaifa maddaz zilla wa law shaaa'a laja'alahoo saakinan summa ja'alnash shamsa 'alaihe daleelaa
Have you not considered your Lord - how He extends the shadow, and if He willed, He could have made it stationary? Then We made the sun for it an indication.
اے محبوب! کیا تم نے اپنے رب کو نہ دیکھا کہ کیسا پھیلا سایہ اور اگر چاہتا تو اسے ٹھہرایا ہوا کردیتا پھر ہم نے سورج کو اس پر دلیل کیا،
(ऐ रसूल) क्या तुमने अपने परवरदिगार की कुदरत की तरफ नज़र नहीं की कि उसने क्योंकर साये को फैला दिया अगर वह चहता तो उसे (एक ही जगह) ठहरा हुआ कर देता फिर हमने आफताब को (उसकी शिनाख्त के वास्ते) उसका रहनुमा बना दिया
Wa Huwal lazeee arsalar riyaaha bushram baina yadai rahmatih; wa anzalnaa minas samaaa'i maaa'an tahooraa
And it is He who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy, and We send down from the sky pure water
اور وہی ہے جس نے ہوائیں بھیجیں اپنی رحمت کے آگے مژدہ سنائی ہوئی اور ہم نے آسمان سے پانی اتارا پاک کرنے والا،
और वही तो वह (ख़ुदा) है जिसने अपनी रहमत (बारिश) के आगे आगे हवाओं को खुश ख़बरी देने के लिए (पेश ख़ेमा बना के) भेजा और हम ही ने आसमान से बहुत पाक और सुथरा हुआ पानी बरसाया
Wa Huwal lazee marajal bahraini haazaa 'azbun furaatunw wa haazaa milhun ujaaj; wa ja'ala bainahumaa barzakhanw wa hijram mahjooraa
And it is He who has released [simultaneously] the two seas, one fresh and sweet and one salty and bitter, and He placed between them a barrier and prohibiting partition.
اور وہی ہے جس نے ملے ہوئے رواں کیے دو سمندر یہ میٹھا ہے نہایت شیریں اور یہ کھاری ہے نہایت تلخ اور ان کے بیچ میں پردہ رکھا اور روکی ہوئی آڑ
और वही तो वह (ख़ुदा) है जिसने दरयाओं को आपस में मिला दिया (और बावजूद कि) ये खालिस मज़ेदार मीठा है और ये बिल्कुल खारी कड़वा (मगर दोनों को मिलाया) और दोनों के दरमियान एक आड़ और मज़बूत ओट बना दी है (कि गड़बड़ न हो)
Wa Huwal lazee khalaqa minal maaa'i basharran fa ja'alahoo nasaban wa sihraa; wa kaana Rabbuka Qadeeraa
And it is He who has created from water a human being and made him [a relative by] lineage and marriage. And ever is your Lord competent [concerning creation].
اور وہی ہے جس نے پانی سے بنایا آدمی پھر اس کے رشتے اور سسرال مقرر کی اور تمہارا رب قدرت والا ہے
और वही तो वह (ख़ुदा) है जिसने पानी (मनी) से आदमी को पैदा किया फिर उसको ख़ानदान और सुसराल वाला बनाया और (ऐ रसूल) तुम्हारा परवरदिगार हर चीज़ पर क़ादिर है
Wa ya'budoona min doonil laahi maa laa yanfa'uhum wa laa yadurruhum; wa kaanal kaafiru 'alaa Rabbihee zaheeraa
But they worship rather than Allah that which does not benefit them or harm them, and the disbeliever is ever, against his Lord, an assistant [to Satan].
اور اللہ کے سوا ایسوں کو پوجتے ہیں جو ان کا بھلا برا کچھ نہ کریں اور کافر اپنے رب کے مقابل شیطان کو مدد دیتا ہے
और लोग (कुफ्फ़ारे मक्का) ख़ुदा को छोड़कर उस चीज़ की परसतिश करते हैं जो न उन्हें नफा ही दे सकती है और न नुक़सान ही पहुँचा सकती है और काफिर (अबूजहल) तो हर वक्त अपने परवरदिगार की मुख़ालेफत पर ज़ोर लगाए हुए है
Qul maaa as'alukum 'alaihi min ajrin illaa man shaaa'a ai yattakhiza ilaa Rabbihee sabeelaa
Say, "I do not ask of you for it any payment - only that whoever wills might take to his Lord a way."
تم فرماؤ میں اس پر تم سے کچھ اجرت نہیں مانگتا مگر جو چاہے کہ اپنے رب کی طرف راہ لے،
और उन लोगों से तुम कह दो कि मै इस (तबलीगे रिसालत) पर तुमसे कुछ मज़दूरी तो माँगता नहीं हूँ मगर तमन्ना ये है कि जो चाहे अपने परवरदिगार तक पहुँचने की राह पकडे
Wa tawakkal 'alal Haiyil lazee laa yamootu wa sabbih bihamdih; wa kafaa bihee bizunoobi 'ibaadihee khabeeraa
And rely upon the Ever-Living who does not die, and exalt [Allah] with His praise. And sufficient is He to be, with the sins of His servants, Acquainted -
اور بھروسہ کرو اس زندہ پر جو کبھی نہ مرے گا اور اسے سراہتے ہوئے اس کی پاکی بولو اور وہی کافی ہے اپنے بندوں کے گناہوں پر خبردار
और (ऐ रसूल) तुम उस (ख़ुदा) पर भरोसा रखो जो ऐसा ज़िन्दा है कि कभी नहीं मरेगा और उसकी हम्द व सना की तस्बीह पढ़ो और वह अपने बन्दों के गुनाहों की वाक़िफ कारी में काफी है (वह ख़ुद समझ लेगा)
Allazee khalaqas samaawaati wal arda wa maa bainahumaa fee sittati aiyaamin summmmastawaa 'alal 'Arsh; ar Rahmaanu fas'al bihee khabeeraa
He who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days and then established Himself above the Throne - the Most Merciful, so ask about Him one well informed.
جس نے آسمان اور زمین اور جو کچھ ان کے درمیان ہے چھ دن میں بنائے پھر عرش پر استواء فرمایا جیسا کہ اس کی شان کے لائق ہے وہ بڑی مہر والا تو کسی جاننے والے سے اس کی تعریف پوچھ
जिसने सारे आसमान व ज़मीन और जो कुछ उन दोनों में है छह: दिन में पैदा किया फिर अर्श (के बनाने) पर आमादा हुआ और वह बड़ा मेहरबान है तो तुम उसका हाल किसी बाख़बर ही से पूछना
Wa izaa qeela lahumus judoo lir Rahmaani qaaloo wa mar Rahmaanu anasjudu limaa taamurunaa wa zaadahum nufooraa
And when it is said to them, "Prostrate to the Most Merciful," they say, "And what is the Most Merciful? Should we prostrate to that which you order us?" And it increases them in aversion.
اور جب ان سے کہا جائے رحمن کو سجدہ کرو کہتے ہیں رحمن کیا ہے، کیا ہم سجدہ کرلیں جسے تم کہو اور اس حکم نے انہیں اور بدکنا بڑھایا السجدة ۔۷
और जब उन कुफ्फारों से कहा जाता है कि रहमान (ख़ुदा) को सजदा करो तो कहते हैं कि रहमान क्या चीज़ है तुम जिसके लिए कहते हो हम उस का सजदा करने लगें और (इससे) उनकी नफरत और बढ़ जाती है (60) सजदा
Wa huwal lazee ja'alal laila wannahaara khilfatal liman araada ai yazzakkara aw araadaa shookooraa
And it is He who has made the night and the day in succession for whoever desires to remember or desires gratitude.
اور وہی ہے جس نے رات اور دن کی بدلی رکھی اس کے لیے جو دھیان کرنا چاہے یا شکر کا ارادہ کرے،
और वही तो वह (ख़ुदा) है जिसने रात और दिन (एक) को (एक का) जानशीन बनाया (ये) उस के (समझने के) लिए है जो नसीहत हासिल करना चाहे या शुक्र गुज़ारी का इरादा करें
Wa 'ibaadur Rahmaanil lazeena yamshoona 'alal ardi hawnanw wa izaa khaata bahumul jaahiloona qaaloo salaamaa
And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace,
اور رحمن کے وہ بندے کہ زمین پر آہستہ چلتے ہیں اور جب جاہل ان سے بات کرتے ہیں تو کہتے ہیں بس سلام
और (ख़ुदाए) रहमान के ख़ास बन्दे तो वह हैं जो ज़मीन पर फिरौतनी के साथ चलते हैं और जब जाहिल उनसे (जिहालत) की बात करते हैं तो कहते हैं कि सलाम (तुम सलामत रहो)
Wallazeena laa yad'oona ma'al laahi ilaahan aakhara wa laa yaqtuloonan nafsal latee harramal laahu illaa bilhaqqi wa laa yaznoon; wa mai yaf'al zaalika yalqa asaamaa
And those who do not invoke with Allah another deity or kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty.
اور وہ جو اللہ کے ساتھ کسی دوسرے معبود کو نہیں پوجتے اور اس جان کو جس کی اللہ نے حرمت رکھی ناحق نہیں مارتے اور بدکاری نہیں کرتے اور جو یہ کام کرے وہ سزا پائے گا،
और वह लोग जो ख़ुदा के साथ दूसरे माबूदों की परसतिश नही करते और जिस जान के मारने को ख़ुदा ने हराम कर दिया है उसे नाहक़ क़त्ल नहीं करते और न ज़िना करते हैं और जो शख्स ऐसा करेगा वह आप अपने गुनाह की सज़ा भुगतेगा
Illaa man taaba wa 'aamana wa 'amila 'amalan saalihan fa ulaaa'ika yubad dilul laahu saiyi aatihim hasanaat; wa kaanal laahu Ghafoorar Raheemaa
Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allah will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.
مگر جو توبہ کرے اور ایمان لائے اور اچھا کام کرے اور اچھا کام کرے تو ایسوں کی برائیوں کو اللہ بھلائیوں سے بدل دے گا اور اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے،
मगर (हाँ) जिस शख्स ने तौबा की और ईमान क़ुबूल किया और अच्छे अच्छे काम किए तो (अलबत्ता) उन लोगों की बुराइयों को ख़ुदा नेकियों से बदल देगा और ख़ुदा तो बड़ा बख्शने वाला मेहरबान है
Qul maa ya'ba'u bikum Rabbee law laa du'aaa'ukum faqad kazzabtum fasawfa yakoonu lizaamaa
Say, "What would my Lord care for you if not for your supplication?" For you [disbelievers] have denied, so your denial is going to be adherent.
تم فرماؤ تمہاری کچھ قدر نہیں میرے رب کے یہاں اگر تم اسے نہ پوجو تو تم نے تو جھٹلایا تو اب ہوگا وہ عذاب کہ لپٹ رہے گا
(ऐ रसूल) तुम कह दो कि अगर दुआ नही किया करते तो मेरा परवरदिगार भी तुम्हारी कुछ परवाह नही करता तुमने तो (उसके रसूल को) झुठलाया तो अन क़रीब ही (उसका वबाल) तुम्हारे सर पडेग़ा
