Surah Al-Ankaboot (العنكبوت) is the 29th Surah of the Holy Quran, located in Para 20. It is a Meccan Surah with 69 Ayahs. Its name translates to "The Spider".
Wa laqad fatannal lazeena min qablihim fala ya'lamannal laahul lazeena sadaqoo wa la ya'lamannal kaazibeen
But We have certainly tried those before them, and Allah will surely make evident those who are truthful, and He will surely make evident the liars.
اور بیشک ہم نے ان سے اگلوں کو جانچا تو ضرور اللہ سچوں کو دیکھے گا اور ضرور جھوٹوں کو دیکھے گا
और हमने तो उन लोगों का भी इम्तिहान लिया जो उनसे पहले गुज़र गए ग़रज़ ख़ुदा उन लोगों को जो सच्चे (दिल से ईमान लाए) हैं यक़ीनन अलहाएदा देखेगा और झूठों को भी (अलहाएदा) ज़रुर देखेगा
Man kaana yarjoo liqaaa 'allaahi fa inna ajalal laahi laaat; wa Huwass Sameeul 'Aleem
Whoever should hope for the meeting with Allah - indeed, the term decreed by Allah is coming. And He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
جسے اللہ سے ملنے کی امید ہو تو بیشک اللہ کی میعاد ضرور آنے والی ہے اور وہی سنتا جانتا ہے
जो शख्स ख़ुदा से मिलने (क़यामत के आने) की उम्मीद रखता है तो (समझ रखे कि) ख़ुदा की (मुक़र्रर की हुई) मीयाद ज़रुर आने वाली है और वह (सबकी) सुनता (और) जानता है
Wallazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati lanukaf firanna 'anhum saiyiaatihim wa lanajziyannahum ahsanal lazee kaanoo ya'maloon
And those who believe and do righteous deeds - We will surely remove from them their misdeeds and will surely reward them according to the best of what they used to do.
اور جو ایمان لائے اور اچھے کام کیے ہم ضرور ان کی برائیاں اتار دیں گے اور ضرور انہیں اس کام پر بدلہ دیں گے جو ان کے سب کاموں میں اچھا تھا
और जिन लोगों ने ईमान क़ुबूल किया और अच्छे अच्छे काम किए हम यक़ीनन उनके गुनाहों की तरफ से कफ्फारा क़रार देगें और ये (दुनिया में) जो आमाल करते थे हम उनके आमाल की उन्हें अच्छी से अच्छी जज़ा अता करेंगे
Wa wassainal insaana biwaalidaihi husnanw wa in jaahadaaka litushrika bee maa laisa laka bihee 'ilmun falaa tuti'humaa; ilaiya marji'ukum fa unabbi'ukum bimaa kuntum ta'maloon
And We have enjoined upon man goodness to parents. But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them. To Me is your return, and I will inform you about what you used to do.
اور ہم نے آدمی کو تاکید کی اپنے ماں باپ کے ساتھ بھلائی کی اور اگر تو وہ تجھ سے کوشش کریں کہ تو میرا شریک ٹھہرائے جس کا تجھے علم نہیں تو تُو ان کا کہا نہ مان میری ہی طرف تمہارا پھرنا ہے تو میں بتادوں گا تمہیں جو تم کرتے تھے
और हमने इन्सान को अपने माँ बाप से अच्छा बरताव करने का हुक्म दिया है और (ये भी कि) अगर तुझे तेरे माँ बाप इस बात पर मजबूर करें कि ऐसी चीज़ को मेरा शरीक बना जिन (के शरीक होने) का मुझे इल्म तक नहीं तो उनका कहना न मानना तुम सबको (आख़िर एक दिन) मेरी तरफ लौट कर आना है मै जो कुछ तुम लोग (दुनिया में) करते थे बता दूँगा
Wa minan naasi many yaqoolu aamannaa billaahi faizaaa ooziya fil laahi ja'ala fitnatan naasi ka'azaabil laahi wa la'in jaaa'a nasrum mir Rabbika la yaqoolunna innaa kunnaa ma'akum; awa laisal laahu bi a'lama bimaa fee surdooril 'aalameen
And of the people are some who say, "We believe in Allah," but when one [of them] is harmed for [the cause of] Allah, they consider the trial of the people as [if it were] the punishment of Allah. But if victory comes from your Lord, they say, "Indeed, We were with you." Is not Allah most knowing of what is within the breasts of all creatures?
اور بعض آدمی کہتے ہیں ہم اللہ پر ایمان لائے پھر جب اللہ کی راہ میں انہیں کوئی تکلیف دی جاتی ہے تو لوگوں کے فتنہ کو اللہ کے عذاب کے برابر سمجھتے ہیں اور اگر تمہارے رب کے پاس سے مدد آئے تو ضرور کہیں گے ہم تو تمہارے ہی ساتھ تھے کیا اللہ خوب نہیں جانتا جو کچھ جہاں بھر کے دلوں میں ہے
और कुछ लोग ऐसे भी हैं जो (ज़बान से तो) कह देते हैं कि हम ख़ुदा पर ईमान लाए फिर जब उनको ख़ुदा के बारे में कुछ तकलीफ़ पहुँची तो वह लोगों की तकलीफ़ देही को अज़ाब के बराबर ठहराते हैं और (ऐ रसूल) अगर तुम्हारे पास तुम्हारे परवरदिगार की मदद आ पहुँची और तुम्हें फतेह हुई तो यही लोग कहने लगते हैं कि हम भी तो तुम्हारे साथ ही साथ थे भला जो कुछ सारे जहाँन के दिलों में है क्या ख़ुदा बख़ूबी वाक़िफ नहीं (ज़रुर है)
Wa qaalal lazaeena kafaroo lillazeena aamanut tabi'oo sabeelanaa walnahmil khataayaakum wa maa hum bihaamileena min khataa yaahum min shai'in innahum lakaaziboon
And those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Follow our way, and we will carry your sins." But they will not carry anything of their sins. Indeed, they are liars.
اور کافر مسلمانوں سے بولے ہماری راہ پر چلو اور ہم تمہارے گناہ اٹھالیں گے حالانکہ وہ ان کے گناہوں میں سے کچھ نہ اٹھائیں گے، بیشک وہ جھوٹے ہیں،
और कुफ्फार ईमान वालों से कहने लगे कि हमारे तरीक़े पर चलो और (क़यामत में) तुम्हारे गुनाहों (के बोझ) को हम (अपने सर) ले लेंगे हालॉकि ये लोग ज़रा भी तो उनके गुनाह उठाने वाले नहीं ये लोग यक़ीनी झूठे हैं
Wa la yahmilunna asqaa lahum wa asqaalam ma'a asqaalihim wa la yus'alunna Yawmal Qiyaamati 'ammaa kaanoo yaftaroon
But they will surely carry their [own] burdens and [other] burdens along with their burdens, and they will surely be questioned on the Day of Resurrection about what they used to invent.
اور بیشک ضرور اپنے بوجھ اٹھائیں گے اور اپنے بوجھوں کے ساتھ اور بوجھ اور ضرور قیامت کے دن پوچھے جائیں گے جو کچھ بہتان اٹھاتے تھے
और (हाँ) ये लोग अपने (गुनाह के) बोझे तो यक़ीनी उठाएँगें ही और अपने बोझो के साथ जिन्हें गुमराह किया उनके बोझे भी उठाएँगे और जो इफ़ितेरा परदाज़िया ये लोग करते रहे हैं क़यामत के दिन उन से ज़रुर उसकी बाज़पुर्स होगी
Wa laqad arsalnaa Noohan ilaa qawmihee falabisa feehim alfa sanatin illaa khamseena 'aaman fa akhazahumut toofaanu wa hum zaalimoon
And We certainly sent Noah to his people, and he remained among them a thousand years minus fifty years, and the flood seized them while they were wrongdoers.
اور بیشک ہم نے نوح کو اس کی قوم کی طرف بھیجا تو وہ ان میں پچاس سال کم ہزار برس رہا تو انہیں طوفان نے ا ٓ لیا اور وہ ظالم تھے
और हमने नूह को उनकी क़ौम के पास (पैग़म्बर बनाकर) भेजा तो वह उनमें पचास कम हज़ार बरस रहे (और हिदायत किया किए और जब न माना) तो आख़िर तूफान ने उन्हें ले डाला और वह उस वक्त भी सरकश ही थे
You only worship, besides Allah, idols, and you produce a falsehood. Indeed, those you worship besides Allah do not possess for you [the power of] provision. So seek from Allah provision and worship Him and be grateful to Him. To Him you will be returned."
تم تو اللہ کے سوا بتوں کو پوجتے ہو اور نرا جھوٹ گڑ ھتے ہو بے شک وه جنھیں تم اللہ کے سوا پو جتے ہو تمہاری روزی کے کچھ مالک نہیں تو اللہ کے پاس رزق ڈھونڈو اور اس کی بندگی کرو اور اس کا احسان مانو، تمہیں اسی کی طرف پھرنا ہے
(मगर) तुम लोग तो ख़ुदा को छोड़कर सिर्फ बुतों की परसतिश करते हैं और झूठी बातें (अपने दिल से) गढ़ते हो इसमें तो शक ही नहीं कि ख़ुदा को छोड़कर जिन लोगों की तुम परसतिश करते हो वह तुम्हारी रोज़ी का एख्तेयार नही रखते-बस ख़ुदा ही से रोज़ी भी माँगों और उसकी इबादत भी करो उसका शुक्र करो (क्योंकि) तुम लोग (एक दिन) उसी की तरफ लौटाए जाओगे
Wa in tukazziboo faqad kazzaba umamum min qablikum wa maa'alar Rasooli illal balaaghul mubeen
And if you [people] deny [the message] - already nations before you have denied. And there is not upon the Messenger except [the duty of] clear notification.
اور اگر تم جھٹلاؤ تو تم سے پہلے کتنے ہی گروہ جھٹلا چکے ہیں اور رسول کے ذمہ نہیں مگر صاف پہنچا دینا،
और (ऐ अहले मक्का) अगर तुमने (मेरे रसूल को) झुठलाया तो (कुछ परवाह नहीं) तुमसे पहले भी तो बहुतेरी उम्मते (अपने पैग़म्बरों को) झुठला चुकी हैं और रसूल के ज़िम्मे तो सिर्फ (एहक़ाम का) पहुँचा देना है
Have they not considered how Allah begins creation and then repeats it? Indeed that, for Allah, is easy.
اور کیا انہوں نے نہ دیکھا اللہ کیونکر خلق کی ابتداء فرماتا ہے پھر اسے دوبارہ بنائے گا بیشک یہ اللہ کو آسان ہے
बस क्या उन लोगों ने इस पर ग़ौर नहीं किया कि ख़ुदा किस तरह मख़लूकात को पहले पहल पैदा करता है और फिर उसको दोबारा पैदा करेगा ये तो ख़ुदा के नज़दीक बहुत आसान बात है
Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how He began creation. Then Allah will produce the final creation. Indeed Allah, over all things, is competent."
تم فرماؤ زمین میں سفر کرکے دیکھو اللہ کیونکر پہلے بناتا ہے پھر اللہ دوسری اٹھان اٹھاتا ہے بیشک اللہ سب کچھ کرسکتا ہے،
(ऐ रसूल इन लोगों से) तुम कह दो कि ज़रा रुए ज़मीन पर चलफिर कर देखो तो कि ख़ुदा ने किस तरह पहले पहल मख़लूक को पैदा किया फिर (उसी तरह वही) ख़ुदा (क़यामत के दिन) आखिरी पैदाइश पैदा करेगा- बेशक ख़ुदा हर चीज़ पर क़ादिर है
Wallazeena kafaroo bi Aayaatil laahi wa liqaaa'iheee ulaaa'ika ya'isoo mir rahmatee wa ulaaa'ika lahum 'azaabun aleem
And the ones who disbelieve in the signs of Allah and the meeting with Him - those have despaired of My mercy, and they will have a painful punishment.
اور وہ جنہوں نے میری آیتوں اور میرے ملنے کو نہ مانا وہ ہیں جنہیں میری رحمت کی آس نہیں اور ان کے لیے دردناک عذاب ہے
और जिन लोगों ने ख़ुदा की आयतों और (क़यामत के दिन) उसके सामने हाज़िर होने से इन्कार किया मेरी रहमत से मायूस हो गए हैं और उन्हीं लोगों के वास्ते दर्दनाक अज़ाब है
Famaa kaana jawaaba qawmiheee illaaa an qaaluqtuloohu aw harriqoohu faanjaahul laahu minan naar; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil laqawminy yu'minoon
And the answer of Abraham's people was not but that they said, "Kill him or burn him," but Allah saved him from the fire. Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe.
تو اس کی قوم کو کچھ جواب بن نہ آیا مگر یہ بولے انہیں قتل کردو یا جلادو تو اللہ نے اسے آگ سے بچالیا بیشک اس میں ضرور نشانیاں ہیں ایمان والوں کے لیے
ग़रज़ इबराहीम की क़ौम के पास (इन बातों का) इसके सिवा कोई जवाब न था कि बाहम कहने लगे इसको मार डालो या जला (कर ख़ाक) कर डालो (आख़िर वह कर गुज़रे) तो ख़ुदा ने उनको आग से बचा लिया इसमें शक नहीं कि दुनियादार लोगों के वास्ते इस वाकिये में (कुदरते ख़ुदा की) बहुत सी निशानियाँ हैं
Wa qaala innamat takhaz tum min doonil laahi awsaanam mawaddata bainikum fil hayaatid dunyaa summa yawmal qiyaamati yakfuru ba'dukum biba 'dinw wa yal'anu ba'dukum ba'danw-wa yal'anu ba'dukum ba'danw wa maa waakumun Naaru wa maa lakum min naasireen
And [Abraham] said, "You have only taken, other than Allah, idols as [a bond of] affection among you in worldly life. Then on the Day of Resurrection you will deny one another and curse one another, and your refuge will be the Fire, and you will not have any helpers."
اور ابراہیم نے فرمایا تم نے تو اللہ کے سوا یہ بت بنالیے ہیں جن سے تمہاری دوستی یہی دنیا کی زندگی تک ہے پھر قیامت کے دن تم میں ایک دوسرے کے ساتھ کفر کرے گا اور ایک دوسرے پر لعنت ڈالے گا اور تم سب کا ٹھکانا جہنم ہے اور تمہارا کوئی مددگار نہیں
और इबराहीम ने (अपनी क़ौम से) कहा कि तुम लोगों ने ख़ुदा को छोड़कर बुतो को सिर्फ दुनिया की ज़िन्दगी में बाहम मोहब्त करने की वजह से (ख़ुदा) बना रखा है फिर क़यामत के दिन तुम में से एक का एक इनकार करेगा और एक दूसरे पर लानत करेगा और (आख़िर) तुम लोगों का ठिकाना जहन्नुम है और (उस वक्त तुम्हारा कोई भी मददगार न होगा)
Wa wahabnaa lahoo Ishaaqa wa Ya'Qooba wa ja'alnaa fee zurriyyatihin Nubuwwata wal Kitaaba wa aatainaahu ajrahoo fid dunyaa wa innahoo fil aakhirati laminas saaliheen
And We gave to Him Isaac and Jacob and placed in his descendants prophethood and scripture. And We gave him his reward in this world, and indeed, he is in the Hereafter among the righteous.
اور ہم نے اسے اسحاق اور یعقوب عطا فرمائے اور ہم نے اس کی اولاد میں نبوت اور کتاب رکھی اور ہم نے دنیا میں اس کا ثواب اسے عطا فرمایا اور بیشک آخرت میں وہ ہمارے قرب خاص کے سزاواروں میں ہے
इसमे शक नहीं कि वह ग़ालिब (और) हिकमत वाला है और हमने इबराहीम को इसहाक़ (सा बेटा) और याक़ूब (सा पोता) अता किया और उनकी नस्ल में पैग़म्बरी और किताब क़रार दी और हम न इबराहीम को दुनिया में भी अच्छा बदला अता किया और वह तो आख़ेरत में भी यक़ीनी नेको कारों से हैं
Wa Lootan iz qaala liqawmiheee innakum laatoonal faahishata maa sabaqakum bihaa min ahadim minal 'aalameen
And [mention] Lot, when he said to his people, "Indeed, you commit such immorality as no one has preceded you with from among the worlds.
اور لوط کو نجات دی جب اس نے اپنی قوم سے فرمایا تم بیشک بے حیائی کا کام کرتے ہو، کہ تم سے پہلے دنیا بھر میں کسی نے نہ کیا
(और ऐ रसूल) लूत को (याद करो) जब उन्होंने अपनी क़ौम से कहा कि तुम लोग अजब बेहयाई का काम करते हो कि तुमसे पहले सारी खुदायी के लोगों में से किसी ने नहीं किया
A'innakum lataatoonar rijaala wa taqta'oonas sabeela wa taatoona fee naadekumul munkara famaa kaana jawaaba qawmiheee illaaa an qaalu' tinaaa bi'azaabil laahi in kunta minas saadiqeen
Indeed, you approach men and obstruct the road and commit in your meetings [every] evil." And the answer of his people was not but they said, "Bring us the punishment of Allah, if you should be of the truthful."
کیا تم مردوں سے بدفعلی کرتے ہو اور راہ مارتے ہو اور اپنی مجلس میں بری بات کرتے ہو تو اس کی قوم کا کچھ جواب نہ ہوا مگر یہ کہ بولے ہم پر اللہ کا عذاب لاؤ اگر تم سچے ہو
तुम लोग (औरतों को छोड़कर कज़ाए शहवत के लिए) मर्दों की तरफ गिरते हो और (मुसाफिरों की) रहजनी करते हो और तुम लोग अपनी महफिलों में बुरी बुरी हरकते करते हो तो (इन सब बातों का) लूत की क़ौम के पास इसके सिवा कोई जवाब न था कि वह लोग कहने लगे कि भला अगर तुम सच्चे हो तो हम पर ख़ुदा का अज़ाब तो ले आओ
Wa lammaa jaaa'at Rusulunaaa Ibraaheema bil bushraa qaalooo innaa muhlikoo ahli haazihil qaryati inna ahlahaa kaanoo zaalimeen
And when Our messengers came to Abraham with the good tidings, they said, "Indeed, we will destroy the people of that Lot's city. Indeed, its people have been wrongdoers."
اور جب ہمارے فرشتے ابراہیم کے پاس مژدہ لے کر آئے بولے ہم ضرور اس شہر والوں کو ہلاک کریں گے بیشک اس کے بسنے والے ستمگاروں ہیں،
(उस वक्त अज़ाब की तैयारी हुई) और जब हमारे भेजे हुए फ़रिश्ते इबराहीम के पास (बुढ़ापे में बेटे की) खुशखबरी लेकर आए तो (इबराहीम से) बोले हम लोग अनक़रीब इस गाँव के रहने वालों को हलाक करने वाले हैं (क्योंकि) इस बस्ती के रहने वाले यक़ीनी (बड़े) सरकश है
Qaala inna feeha Lootaa; qaaloo nahnu a'lamu biman feehaa lanunajjjiyannahoo wa ahlahooo illam ra atahoo kaanat minal ghaabireen
[Abraham] said, "Indeed, within it is Lot." They said, "We are more knowing of who is within it. We will surely save him and his family, except his wife. She is to be of those who remain behind."
کہا اس میں تو لوط ہے فرشتے بولے ہمیں خوب معلوم ہے جو کوئی اس میں ہے، ضرور ہم اسے اور اس کے گھر والوں کو نجات دیں گے مگر اس کی عورت کو، وہ رہ جانے والوں میں ہے
(ये सुन कर) इबराहीम ने कहा कि इस बस्ती में तो लूत भी है वह फरिश्ते बोले जो लोग इस बस्ती में हैं हम लोग उनसे खूब वाक़िफ़ हैं हम तो उनको और उनके लड़के बालों को यक़ीनी बचा लेंगे मगर उनकी बीबी को वह (अलबता) पीछे रह जाने वालों में होगीं
Wa lammaaa an jaaa'at Rusulunaa Lootan seee'a bihim wa daaqa bihim zar'anw wa qaaloo laa takhaf wa laa tahzan innaa munajjooka wa ahlaka illam ra ataka kaanat minal ghaabireen
And when Our messengers came to Lot, he was distressed for them and felt for them great discomfort. They said, "Fear not, nor grieve. Indeed, we will save you and your family, except your wife; she is to be of those who remain behind.
اور جب ہمارے فرشتے لوط کے پاس آئے ان کا آنا اسے ناگوار ہوا اور ان کے سبب دل تنگ ہوا اور انہوں نے کہا نہ ڈریے اور نہ غم کیجئے بیشک ہم آپ کو اور آپ کے گھر والوں کو نجات دیں گے مگر آپ کی عورت وہ رہ جانے والوں میں ہے،
और जब हमारे भेजे हुए फरिश्ते लूत के पास आए लूत उनके आने से ग़मग़ीन हुए और उन (की मेहमानी) से दिल तंग हुए (क्योंकि वह नौजवान खूबसूरत मर्दों की सरूत में आए थे) फरिश्तों ने कहा आप ख़ौफ न करें और कुढ़े नही हम आपको और आपके लड़के बालों को बचा लेगें मगर आपकी बीबी (क्योंकि वह पीछे रह जाने वालो से होगी)
Wa ilaa Madyana akhaahum Shu'ayban faqaala yaa qawmi'-budul laaha warjul yawmal aakhira wa laa ta'saw fil ardi mufsideen
And to Madyan [We sent] their brother Shu'ayb, and he said, "O my people, worship Allah and expect the Last Day and do not commit abuse on the earth, spreading corruption."
مدین کی طرف ان کے ہم قوم شعیب کو بھیجا تو اس نے فرمایا، اے میری قوم! اللہ کی بندگی کرو اور پچھلے دن کی امید رکھو اور زمین میں فساد پھیلاتے نہ پھرو،
और (हमने) मदियन के रहने वालों के पास उनके भाई शुएब को पैग़म्बर बनाकर भेजा उन्होंने (अपनी क़ौम से) कहा ऐ मेरी क़ौम ख़ुदा की इबादत करो और रोज़े आखेरत की उम्मीद रखो और रुए ज़मीन में फ़साद न फैलाते फिरो
Wa 'Aadanw wa Samooda wa qat tabaiyana lakum mim masaakinihim wa zaiyana lahumush Shaitaanu a'maalahum fasaddahum 'anis sabeeli wa kaanoo mustabsireen
And [We destroyed] 'Aad and Thamud, and it has become clear to you from their [ruined] dwellings. And Satan had made pleasing to them their deeds and averted them from the path, and they were endowed with perception.
اور عاد اور ثمود کو ہلاک فرمایا اور تمہیں ان کی بستیاں معلوم ہوچکی ہیں اور شیطان نے ان کے کوتک ان کی نگاہ میں بھلے کر دکھائے اور انہیں راہ سے روکا اور انہیں سوجھتا تھا
और क़ौम आद और समूद को (भी हलाक कर डाला) और (ऐ अहले मक्का) तुम को तो उनके (उजड़े हुए) घर भी (रास्ता आते जाते) मालूम हो चुके और शैतान ने उनकी नज़र में उनके कामों को अच्छा कर दिखाया था और उन्हें (सीधी) राह (चलने) से रोक दिया था हालॉकि वह बड़े होशियार थे
Wa Qaaroona wa Fir'awna wa haamaana wa laqad jaaa'ahum Moosa bilbaiyinaati fastakbaroo fil ardi wa maa kaanoo saabiqeen
And [We destroyed] Qarun and Pharaoh and Haman. And Moses had already come to them with clear evidences, and they were arrogant in the land, but they were not outrunners [of Our punishment].
اور قارون اور فرعون اور ہامان کو اور بیشک ان کے پاس موسیٰ روشن نشانیاں لے کر آیا تو انہوں نے زمین میں تکبر کیا اور وہ ہم سے نکل کر جانے والے نہ تھے
और (हम ही ने) क़ारुन व फिरऔन व हामान को भी (हलाक कर डाला) हालॉकि उन लोगों के पास मूसा वाजेए व रौशन मौजिज़े लेकर आए फिर भी ये लोग रुए ज़मीन में सरकशी करते फिरे और हमसे (निकल कर) कहीं आगे न बढ़ सके
Fakullan akhaznaa bizam bihee faminhum man arsalnaa 'alaihi haasibaa; wa minhum man akhazat hus saihatu wa minhum man khasafnaa bihil arda wa minhum man aghraqnaa; wa maa kaanal laahu li yazlimahum wa laakin kaanoo anfusahum yazlimoon
So each We seized for his sin; and among them were those upon whom We sent a storm of stones, and among them were those who were seized by the blast [from the sky], and among them were those whom We caused the earth to swallow, and among them were those whom We drowned. And Allah would not have wronged them, but it was they who were wronging themselves.
تو ان میں ہر ایک کو ہم نے اس کے گناہ پر پکڑا تو ان میں کسی پر ہم نے پتھراؤ بھیجا اور ان میں کسی کو چنگھاڑ نے آلیا اور ان میں کسی کو زمین میں دھنسادیا اور ان میں کسی کو ڈبو دیا اور اللہ کی شان نہ تھی کہ ان پر ظلم کرے ہاں وہ خود ہی اپنی جانوں پر ظلم کرتے تھے،
तो हमने सबको उनके गुनाह की सज़ा में ले डाला चुनांन्चे उनमे से बाज़ तो वह थे जिन पर हमने पत्थर वाली ऑंधी भेजी और बाज़ उनमें से वह थे जिन को एक सख्त चिंघाड़ ने ले डाला और बाज़ उनमें से वह थे जिनको हमने ज़मीन मे धॅसा दिया और बाज़ उनमें से वह थे जिन्हें हमने डुबो मारा और ये बात नहीं कि ख़ुदा ने उन पर ज़ुल्म किया हो बल्कि (सच युं है कि) ये लोग ख़ुद (ख़ुदा की नाफ़रमानी करके) आप अपने ऊपर ज़ुल्म करते रहे
Masalul lazeenat takhazoo min doonil laahi awliyaaa'a kamasalil 'ankaboot, ittakhazat baitaa; wa inna awhanal buyooti la baitul 'ankaboot; law kaanoo ya'lamoon
The example of those who take allies other than Allah is like that of the spider who takes a home. And indeed, the weakest of homes is the home of the spider, if they only knew.
ان کی مثال جنہوں نے اللہ کے سوا اور مالک بنالیے ہیں مکڑی کی طرح ہے، اس نے جالے کا گھر بنایا اور بیشک سب گھروں میں کمزور گھر مکڑی کا گھر کیا اچھا ہوتا اگر جانتے
जिन लोगों ने ख़ुदा के सिवा दूसरे कारसाज़ बना रखे हैं उनकी मसल उस मकड़ी की सी है जिसने (अपने ख्याल नाक़िस में) एक घर बनाया और उसमें तो शक ही नहीं कि तमाम घरों से बोदा घर मकड़ी का होता है मगर ये लोग (इतना भी) जानते हो
Utlu maaa oohiya ilaika mional Kitaabi wa aqimis Salaata innas Salaata tanhaa 'anil fahshaaa'i wal munkar; wa lazikrul laahi akbar; wal laahu ya'lamu maa tasna'oon
Recite, [O Muhammad], what has been revealed to you of the Book and establish prayer. Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is greater. And Allah knows that which you do.
اے محبوب! پڑھو جو کتاب تمہاری طرف وحی کی گئی اور نماز قائم فرماؤ، بیشک نماز منع کرتی ہے بے حیائی اور بری بات سے اور بیشک اللہ کا ذکر سب سے بڑا اور اللہ جانتا ہے جو تم کرتے ہو،
(ऐ रसूल) जो किताब तुम्हारे पास नाज़िल की गयी है उसकी तिलावत करो और पाबन्दी से नमाज़ पढ़ो बेशक नमाज़ बेहयाई और बुरे कामों से बाज़ रखती है और ख़ुदा की याद यक़ीनी बड़ा मरतबा रखती है और तुम लोग जो कुछ करते हो ख़ुदा उससे वाक़िफ है
Wa laa tujaadilooo Ahlal Kitaabi illaa billatee hiya ahsanu illal lazeena zalamoo minhum wa qoolooo aamannaa billazeee unzila ilainaa wa unzila ilaikum wa illaahunna wa illahukum waahidunw-wa nahnu lahoo muslimoon
And do not argue with the People of the Scripture except in a way that is best, except for those who commit injustice among them, and say, "We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you. And our God and your God is one; and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him."
اور اے مسلمانو! کتابیوں سے نہ جھگڑو مگر بہتر طریقہ پر مگر وہ جنہوں نے ان میں سے ظلم کیا اور کہو ہم ایمان لائے اس پر جو ہماری طرف اترا اور جو تمہاری طرف اترا اور ہمارا تمہارا ایک معبود ہے اور ہم اس کے حضور گردن رکھتے ہیں
और (ऐ ईमानदारों) अहले किताब से मनाज़िरा न किया करो मगर उमदा और शाएस्ता अलफाज़ व उनवान से लेकिन उनमें से जिन लोगों ने तुम पर ज़ुल्म किया (उनके साथ रिआयत न करो) और साफ साफ कह दो कि जो किताब हम पर नाज़िल हुई और जो किताब तुम पर नाज़िल हुई है हम तो सब पर ईमान ला चुके और हमारा माबूद और तुम्हारा माबूद एक ही है और हम उसी के फरमाबरदार है
Wa kazaalika anzalnaaa ilaikal Kitaab; fallazeena aatainaahumul kitaaba yu'minoona bihee wa min haaa'ulaaa'i many yu'minu bih; wa maa yajhadu bi'Aayaatinaa illal kaafiroon
And thus We have sent down to you the Qur'an. And those to whom We [previously] gave the Scripture believe in it. And among these [people of Makkah] are those who believe in it. And none reject Our verses except the disbelievers.
اور اے محبوب! یونہی تمہاری طرف کتاب اتاری تو وہ جنہیں ہم نے کتا ب عطا فرمائی اس پر ایمان لاتے ہیں، اور کچھ ان میں سے ہیں جو اس پر ایمان لاتے ہیں، اور ہماری آیتوں سے منکر نہیں ہوتے مگر
और (ऐ रसूल जिस तरह अगले पैग़म्बरों पर किताबें उतारी) उसी तरह हमने तुम्हारे पास किताब नाज़िल की तो जिन लोगों को हमने (पहले) किताब अता की है वह उस पर भी ईमान रखते हैं और (अरबो) में से बाज़ वह हैं जो उस पर ईमान रखते हैं और हमारी आयतों के तो बस पक्के कट्टर काफिर ही मुनकिर है
Wa maa kunta tatloo min qablihee min kitaabinw wa laa takhuttubhoo bi yameenika izal lartaabal mubtiloon
And you did not recite before it any scripture, nor did you inscribe one with your right hand. Otherwise the falsifiers would have had [cause for] doubt.
اور اس سے پہلے تم کوئی کتاب نہ پڑھتے تھے اور نہ اپنے ہاتھ سے کچھ لکھتے تھے یوں ہوتا تو باطل ضرور شک لاتے
और (ऐ रसूल) क़ुरान से पहले न तो तुम कोई किताब ही पढ़ते थे और न अपने हाथ से तुम लिखा करते थे ऐसा होता तो ये झूठे ज़रुर (तुम्हारी नबुवत में) शक करते
Bal huwa aayaatum baiyinaatun fee sudooril lazeena ootul 'ilm; wa maa yajhadu bi aayaatinaa illaz zaalimoon
Rather, the Qur'an is distinct verses [preserved] within the breasts of those who have been given knowledge. And none reject Our verses except the wrongdoers.
بلکہ وہ روشن آیتیں ہیں ان کے سینوں میں جن کو علم دیا گیا اور ہماری آیتوں کا انکار نہیں کرتے مگر ظالم
मगर जिन लोगों को (ख़ुदा की तरफ से) इल्म अता हुआ है उनके दिल में ये (क़ुरान) वाजेए व रौशन आयतें हैं और सरकशी के सिवा हमारी आयतो से कोई इन्कार नहीं करता
Wa qaaloo law laaa unzila 'alaihi aayaatum mir Rabbihee qul innamal aayaatu 'indal laahi wa innamaaa ana nazeerum mubeen
But they say, "Why are not signs sent down to him from his Lord?" Say, "The signs are only with Allah, and I am only a clear warner."
اور بولے کیوں نہ اتریں کچھ نشانیاں ان پر ان کے رب کی طرف سے تم فرماؤ نشانیاں تو اللہ ہی کے پاس ہیں اور میں تو یہی صاف ڈر سنانے والا ہوں
और (कुफ्फ़ार अरब) कहते हैं कि इस (रसूल) पर उसके परवरदिगार की तरफ से मौजिज़े क्यों नही नाज़िल होते (ऐ रसूल उनसे) कह दो कि मौजिज़े तो बस ख़ुदा ही के पास हैं और मै तो सिर्फ साफ साफ (अज़ाबे ख़ुदा से) डराने वाला हूँ
And is it not sufficient for them that We revealed to you the Book which is recited to them? Indeed in that is a mercy and reminder for a people who believe.
اور کیا یہ انہیں بس نہیں کہ ہم نے تم پر کتاب اتاری جو ان پر پڑھی جاتی ہے بیشک اس میں رحمت اور نصیحت ہے ایمان والوں کے لیے،
क्या उनके लिए ये काफी नहीं कि हमने तुम पर क़ुरान नाज़िल किया जो उनके सामने पढ़ा जाता है इसमें शक नहीं कि ईमानदार लोगों के लिए इसमें (ख़ुदा की बड़ी) मेहरबानी और (अच्छी ख़ासी) नसीहत है
Qul kafaa billaahi bainee wa bainakum shaheedaa; ya'lamu maa fis samaawaati wal ard; wallazeena aamanoo bil baatili wa kafaroo billaahi ulaaa'ika humul khaasiroon
Say, "Sufficient is Allah between me and you as Witness. He knows what is in the heavens and earth. And they who have believed in falsehood and disbelieved in Allah - it is those who are the losers."
تم فرماؤ اللہ بس ہے میرے اور تمہارے درمیان گواہ جانتا ہے جو کچھ آسمانوں اور زمین میں ہے، اور وہ جو باطل پر یقین لائے اور اللہ کے منکر ہوئے وہی گھاٹے میں ہیں،
तुम कह दो कि मेरे और तुम्हारे दरमियान गवाही के वास्ते ख़ुदा ही काफी है जो सारे आसमान व ज़मीन की चीज़ों को जानता है-और जिन लोगों ने बातिल को माना और ख़ुदा से इन्कार किया वही लोग बड़े घाटे में रहेंगे
Wa yasta'jiloonaka bil'azaab; wa law laaa ajalum musammal lajaaa'ahumul 'zaab; wa la yaatiyannahum baghta tanw wa hum laa yash'uroon
And they urge you to hasten the punishment. And if not for [the decree of] a specified term, punishment would have reached them. But it will surely come to them suddenly while they perceive not.
اور تم سے عذاب کی جلدی کرتے ہیں اور اگر ایک ٹھہرائی مدت نہ ہوتی تو ضرور ان پر عذاب آجاتا اور ضرور ان پر اچانک آئے گا جب وہ بے خبر ہوں گے،
और (ऐ रसूल) तुमसे लोग अज़ाब के नाज़िल होने की जल्दी करते हैं और अगर (अज़ाब का) वक्त मुअय्यन न होता तो यक़ीनन उनके पास अब तक अज़ाब आ जाता और (आख़िर एक दिन) उन पर अचानक ज़रुर आ पड़ेगा और उनको ख़बर भी न होगी
Yawma yaghshaahumul 'azaabu min fawqihim wa min tahti arjulim wa yaqoolu zooqoo maa kuntum ta'maloon
On the Day the punishment will cover them from above them and from below their feet and it is said, "Taste [the result of] what you used to do."
جس دن انہیں ڈھانپے گا عذاب ان کے اوپر اور ان کے پاؤں کے نیچے سے اور فرمائے گا چکھو اپنے کیے کا مزہ
जिस दिन अज़ाब उनके सर के ऊपर से और उनके पॉव के नीचे से उनको ढॉके होगा और ख़ुदा (उनसे) फरमाएगा कि जो जो कारस्तानियॉ तुम (दुनिया में) करते थे अब उनका मज़ा चखो
Wallazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati la nubawwi 'annahum minal Jannati ghurafan tajree min tahtihal anhaaru khaalideena feehaa; ni'ma ajrul 'aamileen
And those who have believed and done righteous deeds - We will surely assign to them of Paradise [elevated] chambers beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally. Excellent is the reward of the [righteous] workers
اور بیشک جو ایمان لائے اور اچھے کام کیے ضرور ہم انہیں جنت کے بالا خانوں پر جگہ دیں گے جن کے نیچے نہریں بہتی ہوں گی ہمیشہ ان میں رہیں گے، کیا ہی اچھا اجر کام والوں کا
और जिन लोगों ने ईमान क़ुबूल किया और अच्छे अच्छे काम किए उनको हम बेहश्त के झरोखों में जगह देगें जिनके नीचे नहरें जारी हैं जिनमें वह हमेशा रहेंगे (अच्छे चलन वालो की भी क्या ख़ूब ख़री मज़दूरी है)
Wa ka ayyim min daaabbatil laa tahmilu riqqahaa; al laahu yarzuquhaa wa iyyaakum; wa Huwas Samee'ul Aleem
And how many a creature carries not its [own] provision. Allah provides for it and for you. And He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
اور زمین پر کتنے ہی چلنے والے ہیں کہ اپنی روزی ساتھ نہیں رکھتے اللہ روزی دیتا ہے انہیں اور تمہیں اور وہی سنتا جانتا ہے
और ज़मीन पर चलने वालों में बहुतेरे ऐसे हैं जो अपनी रोज़ी अपने ऊपर लादे नहीं फिरते ख़ुदा ही उनको भी रोज़ी देता है और तुम को भी और वह बड़ा सुनने वाला वाक़िफकार है
Wa la'in sa altahum man khalaqas samaawaati wal arda wa sakhkharash shamsa wal qamara la yaqoolunnal laahu fa ann yu'fakoon
If you asked them, "Who created the heavens and earth and subjected the sun and the moon?" they would surely say, "Allah." Then how are they deluded?
اور اگر تم ان سے پوچھو کس نے بنائے آسمان اور زمین اور کام میں لگائے سورج اور چاند تو ضرور کہیں گے اللہ نے، تو کہاں اوندھے جاتے ہیں
(ऐ रसूल) अगर तुम उनसे पूछो कि (भला) किसने सारे आसमान व ज़मीन को पैदा किया और चाँद और सूरज को काम में लगाया तो वह ज़रुर यही कहेंगे कि अल्लाह ने फिर वह कहाँ बहके चले जाते हैं
Wa la'in sa altahum man nazzala minas samaaa'e maaa'an fa ahyaa bihil arda mim ba'di mawtihaa la yaqoolunnal laah; qulil hamdu lillah; bal aksaruhum laa ya'qiloon
And if you asked them, "Who sends down rain from the sky and gives life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness?" they would surely say " Allah." Say, "Praise to Allah "; but most of them do not reason.
اور جو تم ان سے پوچھو کس نے اتارا آسمان سے پانی تو اس کے سبب زمین زندہ کردی مَرے پیچھے ضرور کہیں گے اللہ نے تم فرماؤ سب خوبیاں اللہ کو، بلکہ ان میں اکثر بے عقل ہیں
और (ऐ रसूल) अगर तुम उससे पूछो कि किसने आसमान से पानी बरसाया फिर उसके ज़रिये से ज़मीन को इसके मरने (परती होने) के बाद ज़िन्दा (आबाद) किया तो वह ज़रुर यही कहेंगे कि अल्लाह ने (ऐ रसूल) तुम कह दो अल्हम दो लिल्लाह-मगर उनमे से बहुतेरे (इतना भी) नहीं समझते
Wa maa haazihil hayaa tud dunyaaa illaa lahwunw-wa la'ib; wa innad Daaral Aakhirata la hiyal ha yawaan; law kaano ya'lamoon
And this worldly life is not but diversion and amusement. And indeed, the home of the Hereafter - that is the [eternal] life, if only they knew.
اور یہ دنیا کی زندگی تو نہیں مگر کھیل کود اور بیشک آخرت کا گھر ضرور وہی سچی زندگی ہے کیا اچھا تھا اگر جانتے
और ये दुनिया की ज़िन्दगी तो खेल तमाशे के सिवा कुछ नहीं और मगर ये लोग समझें बूझें तो इसमे शक नहीं कि अबदी ज़िन्दगी (की जगह) तो बस आख़ेरत का घर है (बाक़ी लग़ो)
And when they board a ship, they supplicate Allah, sincere to Him in religion. But when He delivers them to the land, at once they associate others with Him
پھر جب کشتی میں سوار ہوتے ہیں اللہ کو پکارتے ہیں ایک اسی عقیدہ لاکر پھر جب وہ انہیں خشکی کی طرف بچا لاتا ہے جبھی شرک کرنے لگتے ہیں
फिर जब ये लोग कश्ती में सवार होते हैं तो निहायत ख़ुलूस से उसकी इबादत करने वाले बन कर ख़ुदा से दुआ करते हैं फिर जब उन्हें ख़ुश्की में (पहुँचा कर) नजात देता है तो फौरन शिर्क करने लगते हैं
Awalam yaraw annaa ja'alnaa haraman aaminanw wa yutakhattafun naasu min haw lihim; afabil baatili yu'minoona wa bini'matil laahi yakfuroon
Have they not seen that We made [Makkah] a safe sanctuary, while people are being taken away all around them? Then in falsehood do they believe, and in the favor of Allah they disbelieve?
اور کیا انہوں نے یہ نہ دیکھا کہ ہم نے حرمت والی زمین پناہ بنائی اور ان کے آس پاس والے لوگ اچک لیے جاتے ہیں تو کیا باطل پر یقین لاتے ہیں اور اللہ کی دی ہوئی نعمت سے ناشکری کرتے ہیں،
क्या उन लोगों ने इस पर ग़ौर नहीं किया कि हमने हरम (मक्का) को अमन व इत्मेनान की जगह बनाया हालॉकि उनके गिर्द व नवाह से लोग उचक ले जाते हैं तो क्या ये लोग झूठे माबूदों पर ईमान लाते हैं और ख़ुदा की नेअमत की नाशुक्री करते हैं
Wa man azlamu mimma nif taraa 'alal laahi kaziban aw kazzaba bilhaqqi lammaa jaaa'ah; alaisa fee jahannama maswal lil kaafireen
And who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allah or denies the truth when it has come to him? Is there not in Hell a [sufficient] residence for the disbelievers?
اور اس سے بڑھ کر ظالم کون جو اللہ پر جھوٹ باندھے یا حق کو جھٹلائے جب وہ اس کے پاس آئے، کیا جہنم میں کافروں کا ٹھکانا نہیں
और जो शख्स ख़ुदा पर झूठ बोहतान बॉधे या जब उसके पास कोई सच्ची बात आए तो झुठला दे इससे बढ़कर ज़ालिम कौन होगा क्या (इन) काफिरों का ठिकाना जहन्नुम में नहीं है (ज़रुर है)
