Surah Az-Zukhruf (الزخرف) is the 43rd Surah of the Holy Quran, located in Para 25. It is a Meccan Surah with 89 Ayahs. Its name translates to "The Gold Adornments".
Wa la'in sa altahum man khalaqas samaawaati wal arda la yaqoolunna khalaqa hunnal 'Azeezul 'Aleem
And if you should ask them, "Who has created the heavens and the earth?" they would surely say, "They were created by the Exalted in Might, the Knowing."
اور اگر تم ان سے پوچھو کہ آسمان اور زمین کس نے بنائے تو ضرور کہیں گے انہیں بنایا اس عزت والے علم والے نے
और (ऐ रसूल) अगर तुम उनसे पूछो कि सारे आसमान व ज़मीन को किसने पैदा किया तो वह ज़रूर कह देंगे कि उनको बड़े वाक़िफ़कार ज़बरदस्त (ख़ुदा ने) पैदा किया है
And who sends down rain from the sky in measured amounts, and We revive thereby a dead land - thus will you be brought forth -
اور وہ جس نے آسمان سے پانی اتارا ایک اندازے سے تو ہم نے اس سے ایک مردہ شہر زندہ فرمادیا، یونہی تم نکالے جاؤ گے
और जिसने एक (मुनासिब) अन्दाजे क़े साथ आसमान से पानी बरसाया फिर हम ही ने उसके (ज़रिए) से मुर्दा (परती) शहर को ज़िन्दा (आबाद) किया उसी तरह तुम भी (क़यामत के दिन क़ब्रों से) निकाले जाओगे
Litastawoo 'alaa zuhoorihee summa tazkuroo ni'mata Rabbikum izastawaitum 'alaihi wa taqooloo Subhaanal lazee sakhkhara lana haaza wa maa kunnaa lahoo muqrineen
That you may settle yourselves upon their backs and then remember the favor of your Lord when you have settled upon them and say. "Exalted is He who has subjected this to us, and we could not have [otherwise] subdued it.
کہ تم ان کی پیٹھوں پر ٹھیک بیٹھو پھر اپنے رب کی نعمت یاد کرو جب اس پر ٹھیک بیٹھ لو اور یوں کہو پاکی ہے اسے جس نے اس سواری کو ہمارے بس میں کردیا اور یہ ہمارے بوتے (قابو) کی نہ تھی،
ताकि तुम उसकी पीठ पर चढ़ो और जब उस पर (अच्छी तरह) सीधे हो बैठो तो अपने परवरदिगार का एहसान माना करो और कहो कि वह (ख़ुदा हर ऐब से) पाक है जिसने इसको हमारा ताबेदार बनाया हालॉकि हम तो ऐसे (ताक़तवर) न थे कि उस पर क़ाबू पाते

وَإِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا لَمُنقَلِبُونَ
Wa innaaa ilaa Rabbinaa lamunqaliboon
And indeed we, to our Lord, will [surely] return."
اور بیشک ہمیں اپنے رب کی طرف پلٹنا ہے
और हमको तो यक़ीनन अपने परवरदिगार की तरफ लौट कर जाना है
Wa izaa bushshira ahaduhum bimaa daraba lir Rahmaani masalan zalla wajhuhoo muswaddanw wa hua kazeem
And when one of them is given good tidings of that which he attributes to the Most Merciful in comparison, his face becomes dark, and he suppresses grief.
اور جب ان میں کسی کو خوشخبری دی جائے اس چیز کی جس کا وصف رحمن کے لیے بتاچکا ہے تو دن بھر اس کا منہ کالا رہے اور غم کھایا کرے
हालॉकि जब उनमें किसी शख़्श को उस चीज़ (बेटी) की ख़ुशख़बरी दी जाती है जिसकी मिसल उसने ख़ुदा के लिए बयान की है तो वह (ग़ुस्से के मारे) सियाह हो जाता है और ताव पेंच खाने लगता है
Wa ja'alul malaaa'ikatal lazeena hum 'ibaadur Rahmaani inaasaa; a shahidoo khalaqhum; satuktabu shahaa datuhum wa yus'aloon
And they have made the angels, who are servants of the Most Merciful, females. Did they witness their creation? Their testimony will be recorded, and they will be questioned.
اور انہوں نے فرشتوں کو، کہ رحمٰن کے بندے ہیں عورتیں ٹھہرایا کیا ان کے بناتے وقت یہ حاضر تھے اب لکھ لی جائے گی ان کی گواہی اور ان سے جواب طلب ہوگا
और उन लोगों ने फ़रिश्तों को कि वह भी ख़ुदा के बन्दे हैं (ख़ुदा की) बेटियाँ बनायी हैं लोग फरिश्तों की पैदाइश क्यों खड़े देख रहे थे अभी उनकी शहादत क़लम बन्द कर ली जाती है
Wa qaaloo law shaaa'ar Rahmaanu maa 'abadnaahum; maa lahum bizaalika min 'ilmin in hum illaa yakhrusoon
And they said, "If the Most Merciful had willed, we would not have worshipped them." They have of that no knowledge. They are not but falsifying.
اور بولے اگر رحمٰن چاہتا ہم انہیں نہ پوجتے انہیں اس کی حقیقت کچھ معلوم نہیں یونہی اٹکلیں دوڑاتے ہیں
और (क़यामत) में उनसे बाज़पुर्स की जाएगी और कहते हैं कि अगर ख़ुदा चाहता तो हम उनकी परसतिश न करते उनको उसकी कुछ ख़बर ही नहीं ये लोग तो बस अटकल पच्चू बातें किया करते हैं
Wa kazaalika maaa arsalnaa min qablika fee qaryatim min nazeerin illaa qaala mutrafoohaaa innaa wajadnaaa aabaaa'anaa 'alaaa ummatinw wa innaa 'alaaa aasaarihim muqtadoon
And similarly, We did not send before you any warner into a city except that its affluent said, "Indeed, we found our fathers upon a religion, and we are, in their footsteps, following."
اور ایسے ہی ہم نے تم سے پہلے جب کسی شہر میں ڈر سنانے والا بھیجا وہاں کے آسُودوں (امیروں) نے یہی کہا کہ ہم نے اپنے باپ دادا کو ایک دین پر پایا اور ہم ان کی لکیر کے پیچھے ہیں
और (ऐ रसूल) इसी तरह हमने तुमसे पहले किसी बस्ती में कोई डराने वाला (पैग़म्बर) नहीं भेजा मगर वहाँ के ख़ुशहाल लोगों ने यही कहा कि हमने अपने बाप दादाओं को एक तरीके पर पाया, और हम यक़ीनी उनके क़दम ब क़दम चले जा रहे हैं
Qaala awa law ji'tukum bi ahdaa mimmaa wajattum 'alaihi aabaaa'akum qaalooo innaa bimaaa ursiltum bihee kaafiroon
[Each warner] said, "Even if I brought you better guidance than that [religion] upon which you found your fathers?" They said, "Indeed we, in that with which you were sent, are disbelievers."
نبی نے فرمایا اور کیا جب بھی کہ میں تمہارے پاس وہ لاؤں جو سیدھی راہ ہو اس سے جس پر تمہارے باپ دادا تھے بولے جو کچھ تم لے کر بھیجے گئے ہم اسے نہیں مانتے
(इस पर) उनके पैग़म्बर ने कहा भी जिस तरीक़े पर तुमने अपने बाप दादाओं को पाया अगरचे मैं तुम्हारे पास इससे बेहतर राहे रास्त पर लाने वाला दीन लेकर आया हूँ (तो भी न मानोगे) वह बोले (कुछ हो मगर) हम तो उस दीन को जो तुम देकर भेजे गए हो मानने वाले नहीं
Do they distribute the mercy of your Lord? It is We who have apportioned among them their livelihood in the life of this world and have raised some of them above others in degrees [of rank] that they may make use of one another for service. But the mercy of your Lord is better than whatever they accumulate.
کیا تمہارے رب کی رحمت وہ بانٹتے ہیں ہم نے ان میں ان کی زیست کا سامان دنیا کی زندگی میں بانٹا اور ان میں ایک دوسرے پر درجوں بلندی دی کہ ان میں ایک دوسرے کی ہنسی بنائے اور تمہارے رب کی رحمت ان کی جمع جتھا سے بہتر
ये लोग तुम्हारे परवरदिगार की रहमत को (अपने तौर पर) बाँटते हैं हमने तो इनके दरमियान उनकी रोज़ी दुनयावी ज़िन्दगी में बाँट ही दी है और एक के दूसरे पर दर्जे बुलन्द किए हैं ताकि इनमें का एक दूसरे से ख़िदमत ले और जो माल (मतआ) ये लोग जमा करते फिरते हैं ख़ुदा की रहमत (पैग़म्बर) इससे कहीं बेहतर है
Wa law laaa any yakoonan naasu ummatanw waahidatal laja'alnaa limany yakfuru bir Rahmaani libu yootihim suqufam min fiddatinw wa ma'aarija 'alaihaa yazharoon
And if it were not that the people would become one community [of disbelievers], We would have made for those who disbelieve in the Most Merciful - for their houses - ceilings and stairways of silver upon which to mount
اور اگر یہ نہ ہوتا کہ سب لوگ ایک دین پر ہوجائیں تو ہم ضرور رحمٰن کے منکروں کے لیے چاندی کی چھتیں اور سیڑھیاں بناتے جن پر چڑھتے،
और अगर ये बात न होती कि (आख़िर) सब लोग एक ही तरीक़े के हो जाएँगे तो हम उनके लिए जो ख़ुदा से इन्कार करते हैं उनके घरों की छतें और वही सीढ़ियाँ जिन पर वह चढ़ते हैं (उतरते हैं)
Wa zukhrufaa; wa in kullu zaalika lammaa mataa'ul hayaatid dunyaa; wal aakhiratu 'inda Rabbika lilmuttaqeen
And gold ornament. But all that is not but the enjoyment of worldly life. And the Hereafter with your Lord is for the righteous.
اور طرح طرح کی آرائش اور یہ جو کچھ ہے جیتی دنیا ہی کا اسباب ہے، اور آخرت تمہارے رب کے پاس پرہیزگاروں کے لیے ہے
ये सब साज़ो सामान, तो बस दुनियावी ज़िन्दगी के (चन्द रोज़ा) साज़ो सामान हैं (जो मिट जाएँगे) और आख़ेरत (का सामान) तो तुम्हारे परवरदिगार के यहॉ ख़ास परहेज़गारों के लिए है
Until, when he comes to Us [at Judgement], he says [to his companion], "Oh, I wish there was between me and you the distance between the east and west - how wretched a companion."
یہاں تک کہ جب کافر ہمارے پاس آئے گا اپنے شیطان سے کہے گا ہائے کسی طرح مجھ میں تجھ میں پورب پچھم کا فاصلہ ہوتا تو کیا ہی برا ساتھی ہے،
यहाँ तक कि जब (क़यामत में) हमारे पास आएगा तो (अपने साथी शैतान से) कहेगा काश मुझमें और तुममें पूरब पश्चिम का फ़ासला होता ग़रज़ (शैतान भी) क्या ही बुरा रफीक़ है
Wa laqad arsalnaa Moosaa bi aayaatinaaa ilaa Fir'awna wa mala'ihee faqaala innee Rasoolu Rabbil 'aalameen
And certainly did We send Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his establishment, and he said, "Indeed, I am the messenger of the Lord of the worlds."
اور بیشک ہم نے موسیٰ کو اپنی نشایوں کے ساتھ فرعون اور اس کے سرداروں کی طرف بھیجا تو اس نے فرمایا بیشک میں اس کا رسول ہوں جو سارے جہاں کا مالک ہے،
और हम ही ने यक़ीनन मूसा को अपनी निशानियाँ देकर फिरऔन और उसके दरबारियों के पास (पैग़म्बर बनाकर) भेजा था तो मूसा ने कहा कि मैं सारे जहॉन के पालने वाले (ख़ुदा) का रसूल हूँ
Wa maa nureehim min aayatin illaa hiya akbaru min ukhtihaa wa akhaznaahum bil'azaabi la'allahum yarji'oon
And We showed them not a sign except that it was greater than its sister, and We seized them with affliction that perhaps they might return [to faith].
اور ہم انہیں جو نشانی دکھاتے وہ پہلے سے بڑی ہوتی اور ہم نے انہیں مصیبت میں گرفتار کیا کہ وہ بام آئیں
और हम जो मौजिज़ा उन को दिखाते थे वह दूसरे से बढ़ कर होता था और आख़िर हमने उनको अज़ाब में गिरफ्तार किया ताकि ये लोग बाज़ आएँ
Wa naadaa Fir'awnu fee qawmihee qaala yaa qawmi alaisa lee mulku Misra wa haazihil anhaaru tajree min tahtee afalaa tubsiroon
And Pharaoh called out among his people; he said, "O my people, does not the kingdom of Egypt belong to me, and these rivers flowing beneath me; then do you not see?
اور فرعون اپنی قوم میں پکارا کہ اے میری قوم! کیا میرے لیے مصر کی سلطنت نہیں اور یہ نہریں کہ میرے نیچے بہتی ہیں تو کیا تم دیکھتے نہیں
और फिरऔन ने अपने लोगों में पुकार कर कहा ऐ मेरी क़ौम क्या (ये) मुल्क मिस्र हमारा नहीं और (क्या) ये नहरें जो हमारे (शाही महल के) नीचे बह रही हैं (हमारी नहीं) तो क्या तुमको इतना भी नहीं सूझता
Wa qaalooo 'a-aalihatunaa khairun am hoo; maa daraboohu laka illaa jadalaa; balhum qawmun khasimoon
And they said, "Are your gods better, or is he?" They did not present the comparison except for [mere] argument. But, [in fact], they are a people prone to dispute.
اور کہتے ہیں کیا ہمارے معبود بہتر ہیں یا وہ انہوں نے تم سے یہ نہ کہی مگر ناحق جھگڑے کو بلکہ وہ ہیں جھگڑالو لوگ
और बोल उठे कि भला हमारे माबूद अच्छे हैं या वह (ईसा) उन लोगों ने जो ईसा की मिसाल तुमसे बयान की है तो सिर्फ झगड़ने को
In huwa illaa 'abdun an'amnaa 'alaihi wa ja'alnaahu masalal li Baneee Israaa'eel
Jesus was not but a servant upon whom We bestowed favor, and We made him an example for the Children of Israel.
وہ تو نہیں مگر ایک بندہ جس پر ہم نے احسان فرمایا اور اسے ہم نے بنی اسرائیل کے لیے عجیب نمونہ بنایا
बल्कि (हक़ तो यह है कि) ये लोग हैं झगड़ालू ईसा तो बस हमारे एक बन्दे थे जिन पर हमने एहसान किया (नबी बनाया और मौजिज़े दिये) और उनको हमने बनी इसराईल के लिए (अपनी कुदरत का) नमूना बनाया
Wa lammaa jaaa'a 'Eesaa bilbaiyinaati qaala qad ji'tukum bil Hikmati wa li-ubaiyina lakum ba'dal lazee takhtalifoona feehi fattaqul laaha wa atee'oon
And when Jesus brought clear proofs, he said, "I have come to you with wisdom and to make clear to you some of that over which you differ, so fear Allah and obey me.
اور جب عیسیٰ روشن نشانیاں لایا اس نے فرمایا میں تمہارے پاس حکمت لے کر آیا اور اس لیے میں تم سے بیان کردوں بعض وہ باتیں جن میں تم اختلاف رکھتے ہو تو اللہ سے ڈرو اور میرا حکم مانو،
और जब ईसा वाज़ेए व रौशन मौजिज़े लेकर आये तो (लोगों से) कहा मैं तुम्हारे पास दानाई (की किताब) लेकर आया हूँ ताकि बाज़ बातें जिन में तुम लोग एख्तेलाफ करते थे तुमको साफ-साफ बता दूँ तो तुम लोग ख़ुदा से डरो और मेरा कहा मानो
Yutaafu 'alaihim bishaa fim min zahabinw wa akwaab, wa feehaa maatashtaheehil anfusu wa talazzul a'yunu wa antum feehaa khaalidoon
Circulated among them will be plates and vessels of gold. And therein is whatever the souls desire and [what] delights the eyes, and you will abide therein eternally.
ان پر دورہ ہوگا سونے کے پیالوں اور جاموں کا اور اس میں جو جی چاہے اور جس سے آنکھ کو لذت پہنچے اور تم اس میں ہمیشہ رہو گے،
उन पर सोने की एक रिक़ाबियों और प्यालियों का दौर चलेगा और वहाँ जिस चीज़ को जी चाहे और जिससे ऑंखें लज्ज़त उठाएं (सब मौजूद हैं) और तुम उसमें हमेशा रहोगे
Am yahsaboona annaa laa nasma'u sirrahum wa najwaahum; balaa wa Rusulunaa ladaihim yaktuboon
Or do they think that We hear not their secrets and their private conversations? Yes, [We do], and Our messengers are with them recording.
تو ہم اپنا کام پکا کرنے والے ہیں کیا اس گھمنڈ میں ہیں کہ ہم ان کی آہستہ بات اور ان کی مشورت نہیں سنتے، ہاں کیوں نہیں اور ہمارے فرشتے ان کے پاس لکھ رہے ہیں،
क्या ये लोग कुछ समझते हैं कि हम उनके भेद और उनकी सरग़ोशियों को नहीं सुनते हॉ (ज़रूर सुनते हैं) और हमारे फ़रिश्ते उनके पास हैं और उनकी सब बातें लिखते जाते हैं
Wa tabaarakal lazee lahoo mulkus samaawaati wal ardi wa maa bainahumaa wa 'indahoo 'ilmus Saa'ati wa ilaihi turja'oon
And blessed is He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them and with whom is knowledge of the Hour and to whom you will be returned.
اور بڑی برکت والا ہے وہ کہ اسی کے لیے ہے سلطنت آسمانوں اور زمین کی اور جو کچھ ان کے درمیان ہے اور اسی کے پاس ہے قیامت کا علم، اور تمہیں اس کی طرف پھرنا،
और वही बहुत बाबरकत है जिसके लिए सारे आसमान व ज़मीन और दोनों के दरमियान की हुक़ुमत है और क़यामत की ख़बर भी उसी को है और तुम लोग उसकी तरफ लौटाए जाओगे
