Surah Al-Ahqaf (الأحقاف) is the 46th Surah of the Holy Quran, located in Para 26. It is a Meccan Surah with 35 Ayahs. Its name translates to "The Wind-Curved Sandhills".
Maa khalaqnas samaawaati wal arda wa maa bainahumaaa illaa bilhaqqi wa ajalim musammaa; wallazeena kafaroo 'ammaaa unziroo mu'ridoon
We did not create the heavens and earth and what is between them except in truth and [for] a specified term. But those who disbelieve, from that of which they are warned, are turning away.
ہم نے نہ بنائے آسمان اور زمین اور جو کچھ ان کے درمیان ہے مگر حق کے ساتھ اور ایک مقرر میعاد پر اور کافر اس چیز سے کہ ڈرائے گئے منہ پھیرے ہیں
हमने तो सारे आसमान व ज़मीन और जो कुछ इन दोनों के दरमियान है हिकमत ही से एक ख़ास वक्त तक के लिए ही पैदा किया है और कुफ्फ़ार जिन चीज़ों से डराए जाते हैं उन से मुँह फेर लेते हैं
Qul ara'aytum maa tad'oona min doonil laahi aroonee maazaa khalaqoo minal ardi am lahum shirkun fis samaawaati eetoonee bi kitaabim min qabli haazaaa aw asaaratim min 'ilmin in kuntum saadiqeen
Say, [O Muhammad], "Have you considered that which you invoke besides Allah? Show me what they have created of the earth; or did they have partnership in [creation of] the heavens? Bring me a scripture [revealed] before this or a [remaining] trace of knowledge, if you should be truthful."
تم فرماؤ بھلا بتاؤ تو وہ جو تم اللہ کے سوا پوجتے ہو مجھے دکھاؤ انہوں نے زمین کا کون سا ذرہ بنایا یا آسمان میں ان کا کوئی حصہ ہے، میرے پاس لاؤ اس سے پہلی کوئی کتاب یا کچھ بچا کھچا علم اگر تم سچے ہو
(ऐ रसूल) तुम पूछो कि ख़ुदा को छोड़ कर जिनकी तुम इबादत करते हो क्या तुमने उनको देखा है मुझे भी तो दिखाओ कि उन लोगों ने ज़मीन में क्या चीज़े पैदा की हैं या आसमानों (के बनाने) में उनकी शिरकत है तो अगर तुम सच्चे हो तो उससे पहले की कोई किताब (या अगलों के) इल्म का बक़िया हो तो मेरे सामने पेश करो
Wa man adallu mimmany yad'oo min doonil laahi mallaa yastajeebu lahooo ilaa Yawmil Qiyaamati wa hum'an du'aaa'ihim ghaafiloon
And who is more astray than he who invokes besides Allah those who will not respond to him until the Day of Resurrection, and they, of their invocation, are unaware.
اور اس سے بڑھ کر گمراہ کون جو اللہ کے سوا ایسوں کو پوجے جو قیامت تک اس کی نہ سنیں اور انہیں ان کی پوجا کی خبر تک نہیں
और उस शख़्श से बढ़ कर कौन गुमराह हो सकता है जो ख़ुदा के सिवा ऐसे शख़्श को पुकारे जो उसे क़यामत तक जवाब ही न दे और उनको उनके पुकारने की ख़बरें तक न हों
Am yaqooloonaf taraahu qul inif taraituhoo falaa tamlikoona lee minal laahi shai'an Huwa a'lamu bimaa tufeedoona feehi kafaa bihee shaheedam bainee wa bainakum wa Huwal Ghafoorur Raheem
Or do they say, "He has invented it?" Say, "If I have invented it, you will not possess for me [the power of protection] from Allah at all. He is most knowing of that in which you are involved. Sufficient is He as Witness between me and you, and He is the Forgiving the Merciful."
کیا کہتے ہیں انہوں نے اسے جی سے بنایا تم فرماؤ اگر میں نے اسے جی سے بنالیا ہوگا تو تم اللہ کے سامنے میرا کچھ اختیار نہیں رکھتے وہ خوب جانتا ہے جن باتوں میں تم مشغول ہو اور وہ کافی ہے میرے اور تمہارے درمیان گواہ، اور وہی بخشنے والا مہربان ہے
क्या ये कहते हैं कि इसने इसको ख़ुद गढ़ लिया है तो (ऐ रसूल) तुम कह दो कि अगर मैं इसको (अपने जी से) गढ़ लेता तो तुम ख़ुदा के सामने मेरे कुछ भी काम न आओगे जो जो बातें तुम लोग उसके बारे में करते रहते हो वह ख़ूब जानता है मेरे और तुम्हारे दरमियान वही गवाही को काफ़ी है और वही बड़ा बख्शने वाला है मेहरबान है
Qul maa kuntu bid'am minal Rusuli wa maaa adreee ma yuf'alu bee wa laa bikum in attabi'u illaa maa yoohaaa ilaiya ya maaa ana illaa nazeerum mubeen
Say, "I am not something original among the messengers, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am not but a clear warner."
تم فرماؤ میں کوئی انوکھا رسول نہیں اور میں نہیں جانتا میرے ساتھ کیا کیا جائے گا اور تمہارے ساتھ کیا میں تو اسی کا تابع ہوں جو مجھے وحی ہوتی ہے اور میں نہیں مگر صاف ڈر سنانے والا،
(ऐ रसूल) तुम कह दो कि मैं कोई नया रसूल तो आया नहीं हूँ और मैं कुछ नहीं जानता कि आइन्दा मेरे साथ क्या किया जाएगा और न (ये कि) तुम्हारे साथ क्या किया जाएगा मैं तो बस उसी का पाबन्द हूँ जो मेरे पास वही आयी है और मैं तो बस एलानिया डराने वाला हूँ
Qul ara'aytum in kaana min 'indil laahi wa kafartum bihee wa shahida shaahidum mim Banee Israaa'eela 'alaa mislihee fa aamana wastak bartum innal laaha laa yahdil qawmaz zaalimeen
Say, "Have you considered: if the Qur'an was from Allah, and you disbelieved in it while a witness from the Children of Israel has testified to something similar and believed while you were arrogant...?" Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.
تم فرماؤ بھلا دیکھو تو اگر وہ قرآن اللہ کے پاس سے ہو اور تم نے اس کا انکار کیا اور بنی اسرائیل کا ایک گواہ اس پر گواہی دے چکا تو وہ ایمان لایا اور تم نے تکبر کیا بیشک اللہ راہ نہیں دیتا ظالموں کو،
(ऐ रसूल) तुम कह दो कि भला देखो तो कि अगर ये (क़ुरान) ख़ुदा की तरफ से हो और तुम उससे इन्कार कर बैठे हालॉकि (बनी इसराईल में से) एक गवाह उसके मिसल की गवाही भी दे चुका और ईमान भी ले आया और तुमने सरकशी की (तो तुम्हारे ज़ालिम होने में क्या शक़ है) बेशक ख़ुदा ज़ालिम लोगों को मन्ज़िल मक़सूद तक नहीं पहुँचाता
Wa qaalal lazeena kafaroo lillazeena aamanoo law kaana khairam maa sabaqoonaaa ilyh; wa iz lam yahtadoo bihee fasa yaqooloona haazaaa ifkun qadeem
And those who disbelieve say of those who believe, "If it had [truly] been good, they would not have preceded us to it." And when they are not guided by it, they will say, "This is an ancient falsehood."
اور کافروں نے مسلمانوں کو کہا اگر اس میں کچھ بھلائی ہو تو یہ ہم سے آگے اس تک نہ پہنچ جاتے اور جب انہیں اس کی ہدایت نہ ہوئی تو اب کہیں گے کہ یہ پرانا بہتان ہے،
और काफिर लोग मोमिनों के बारे में कहते हैं कि अगर ये (दीन) बेहतर होता तो ये लोग उसकी तरफ हमसे पहले न दौड़ पड़ते और जब क़ुरान के ज़रिए से उनकी हिदायत न हुई तो अब भी कहेंगे ये तो एक क़दीमी झूठ है
Wa min qablihee kitaabu Moosaaa imaamanw-wa rahmah; wa haazaa Kitaabum musad diqul lisaanan 'Arabiyyal liyunziral lazeena zalamoo wa bushraa lilmuhsineen
And before it was the scripture of Moses to lead and as a mercy. And this is a confirming Book in an Arabic tongue to warn those who have wronged and as good tidings to the doers of good.
اور اس سے پہلے موسیٰ کی کتاب سے پیشوا اور مہربانی، اور یہ کتاب ہے تصدیق فرماتی عربی زبان میں کہ ظالموں کو ڈر سنائے، اور نیکوں کو بشارت،
और इसके क़ब्ल मूसा की किताब पेशवा और (सरासर) रहमत थी और ये (क़ुरान) वह किताब है जो अरबी ज़बान में (उसकी) तसदीक़ करती है ताकि (इसके ज़रिए से) ज़ालिमों को डराए और नेकी कारों के लिए (अज़सरतापा) ख़ुशख़बरी है
Wa wassainal insaana biwaalidaihi ihsaanan hamalathu ummuhoo kurhanw-wa wada'athu kurhanw wa hamluhoo wa fisaaluhoo salaasoona shahraa; hattaaa izaa balagha ashuddahoo wa balagho arba'eena sanatan qaala Rabbi aqzi'neee an ashkura ni'matakal lateee an'amta 'alaiya wa 'alaa waalidaiya wa an a'mala saalihan tardaahu wa aslih lee fee zurriyyatee innee tubtu ilaika wa innee minal muslimeen
And We have enjoined upon man, to his parents, good treatment. His mother carried him with hardship and gave birth to him with hardship, and his gestation and weaning [period] is thirty months. [He grows] until, when he reaches maturity and reaches [the age of] forty years, he says, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to work righteousness of which You will approve and make righteous for me my offspring. Indeed, I have repented to You, and indeed, I am of the Muslims."
اور ہم نے آدمی کو حکم کیا اپنے ماں باپ سے بھلائی کرے، ا س کی ماں نے اسے پیٹ میں رکھا تکلیف سے اور جنا اس کو تکلیف سے، اور اسے اٹھائے پھرنا اور اس کا دودھ چھڑانا تیس مہینے میں ہے یہاں تک کہ جب اپنے زور کو پہنچا اور چالیس برس کا ہوا عرض کی اے میرے رب! میرے دل میں ڈال کہ میں تیری نعمت کا شکر کروں جو تو نے مجھ پر اور میرے ماں باپ پر کی اور میں وہ کام کروں جو تجھے پسند آئے اور میرے لیے میری اولاد میں صلاح (نیکی) رکھ میں تیری طرف رجوع لایا اور میں مسلمان ہوں
और हमने इन्सान को अपने माँ बाप के साथ भलाई करने का हुक्म दिया (क्यों कि) उसकी माँ ने रंज ही की हालत में उसको पेट में रखा और रंज ही से उसको जना और उसका पेट में रहना और उसको दूध बढ़ाई के तीस महीने हुए यहाँ तक कि जब अपनी पूरी जवानी को पहुँचता और चालीस बरस (के सिन) को पहुँचता है तो (ख़ुदा से) अर्ज़ करता है परवरदिगार तो मुझे तौफ़ीक़ अता फरमा कि तूने जो एहसानात मुझ पर और मेरे वालदैन पर किये हैं मैं उन एहसानों का शुक्रिया अदा करूँ और ये (भी तौफीक दे) कि मैं ऐसा नेक काम करूँ जिसे तू पसन्द करे और मेरे लिए मेरी औलाद में सुलाह व तक़वा पैदा करे तेरी तरफ रूजू करता हूँ और मैं यक़ीनन फरमाबरदारो में हूँ
Ulaaa'ikal lazeena nata qabbalu 'anhum ahsana maa 'amiloo wa natajaawazu 'an saiyiaatihim feee Ashaabil jannati Wa'das sidqil lazee kaanoo yoo'adoon
Those are the ones from whom We will accept the best of what they did and overlook their misdeeds, [their being] among the companions of Paradise. [That is] the promise of truth which they had been promised.
یہ ہیں وہ جن کی نیکیاں ہم قبول فرمائیں گے اور ان کی تقصیروں سے درگزر فرمائیں گے جنت والوں میں، سچا وعدہ جو انہیں دیا جاتا تھا
यही वह लोग हैं जिनके नेक अमल हम क़ुबूल फरमाएँगे और बेहिश्त (के जाने) वालों में उनके गुनाहों से दरग़ुज़र करेंगे (ये वह) सच्चा वायदा है जो उन से किया जाता था
Wallazee qaala liwaali daihi uffil lakumaaa ata'idanineee an ukhraja wa qad khalatil quroonu min qablee wa humaa yastagheesaanil laaha wailaka aamin inna wa'dal laahi haqq, fa yaqoolu maa haazaaa illaaa asaateerul awwaleen
But one who says to his parents, "Uff to you; do you promise me that I will be brought forth [from the earth] when generations before me have already passed on [into oblivion]?" while they call to Allah for help [and to their son], "Woe to you! Believe! Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth." But he says, "This is not but legends of the former people" -
اور وہ جس نے اپنے ماں باپ سے کہا اُف تم سے دل پک گیا (بیزار ہے) کیا مجھے یہ وعدہ دیتے ہو کہ پھر زندہ کیا جاؤں گا حالانکہ مجھ پر سے پہلے سنگتیں گزر چکیں اور وہ دونوں اللہ سے فریاد کرتے ہیں تیری خرابی ہو ایمان لا، بیشک اللہ کا وعدہ سچا ہے تو کہتا ہے یہ تو نہیں مگر اگلوں کی کہانیاں
और जिसने अपने माँ बाप से कहा कि तुम्हारा बुरा हो, क्या तुम मुझे धमकी देते हो कि मैं दोबारा (कब्र से) निकाला जाऊँगा हालॉकि बहुत से लोग मुझसे पहले गुज़र चुके (और कोई ज़िन्दा न हुआ) और दोनों फ़रियाद कर रहे थे कि तुझ पर वाए हो ईमान ले आ ख़ुदा का वायदा ज़रूर सच्चा है तो वह बोल उठा कि ये तो बस अगले लोगों के अफ़साने हैं
Ulaaa'ikal lazeena haqqa 'alaihimul qawlu feee umamin qad khalat min qablihim minal jinni wal insi innahum kaanoo khaasireen
Those are the ones upon whom the word has come into effect, [who will be] among nations which had passed on before them of jinn and men. Indeed, they [all] were losers.
یہ وہ ہیں جن پر بات ثابت ہوچکی ان گروہوں میں جو ان سے پلے گزرے جن اور آدمی، بیشک وہ زیاں کار تھے،
ये वही लोग हैं कि जिन्नात और आदमियों की (दूसरी) उम्मतें जो उनसे पहले गुज़र चुकी हैं उन ही के शुमूल में उन पर भी अज़ाब का वायदा मुस्तहक़ हो चुका है ये लोग बेशक घाटा उठाने वाले थे
Wa likullin darajaatum mimmaa 'amiloo wa liyuwaf fiyahum a'maalahum wa hum laa yuzlamoon
And for all there are degrees [of reward and punishment] for what they have done, and [it is] so that He may fully compensate them for their deeds, and they will not be wronged.
اور ہر ایک کے لیے اپنے اپنے عمل کے درجے ہیں اور تاکہ اللہ ان کے کام انہیں پورے بھردے
और लोगों ने जैसे काम किये होंगे उसी के मुताबिक सबके दर्जे होंगे और ये इसलिए कि ख़ुदा उनके आमाल का उनको पूरा पूरा बदला दे और उन पर कुछ भी ज़ुल्म न किया जाएं
And the Day those who disbelieved are exposed to the Fire [it will be said], "You exhausted your pleasures during your worldly life and enjoyed them, so this Day you will be awarded the punishment of [extreme] humiliation because you were arrogant upon the earth without right and because you were defiantly disobedient."
اور ان پر ظلم نہ ہوگا، اور جس دن کافر آگ پر پیش کیے جائیں گے، ان سے فرمایا جائے گا تم اپنے حصہ کی پاک چیزیں اپنی دنیا ہی کی زندگی میں فنا کرچکے اور انہیں برت چکے تو آج تمہیں ذلت کا عذاب بدلہ دیا جائے گا سزا اس کی کہ تم زمین میں ناحق تکبر کرتے تھے اور سزا اس کی کہ حکم عدولی کرتے تھے
और जिस दिन कुफ्फार जहन्नुम के सामने लाएँ जाएँगे (तो उनसे कहा जाएगा कि) तुमने अपनी दुनिया की ज़िन्दगी में अपने मज़े उड़ा चुके और उसमें ख़ूब चैन कर चुके तो आज तुम पर ज़िल्लत का अज़ाब किया जाएगा इसलिए कि तुम अपनी ज़मीन में अकड़ा करते थे और इसलिए कि तुम बदकारियां करते थे
Wazkur akhaa 'Aad, iz anzara qawmahoo bil Ahqaafi wa qad khalatin nuzuru mim baini yadaihi wa min khalfiheee allaa ta'budooo illal laaha inneee akhaafu 'alaikum 'azaaba Yawmin 'azeem
And mention, [O Muhammad], the brother of 'Aad, when he warned his people in the [region of] al-Ahqaf - and warners had already passed on before him and after him - [saying], "Do not worship except Allah. Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a terrible day."
اور یاد کرو عاد کے ہم قوم کو جب اس نے ان کو سرزمینِ احقاف میں ڈرایا اور بیشک اس سے پہلے ڈر سنانے والے گزر چکے اور اس کے بعد آئے کہ اللہ کے سوا کسی کو نہ پُوجو، بیشک مجھے تم پر ایک بڑے دن کے عذاب کا اندیشہ ہے،
और (ऐ रसूल) तुम आद को भाई (हूद) को याद करो जब उन्होंने अपनी क़ौम को (सरज़मीन) अहक़ाफ में डराया और उनके पहले और उनके बाद भी बहुत से डराने वाले पैग़म्बर गुज़र चुके थे (और हूद ने अपनी क़ौम से कहा) कि ख़ुदा के सिवा किसी की इबादत न करो क्योंकि तुम्हारे बारे में एक बड़े सख्त दिन के अज़ाब से डरता हूँ
Qaala innamal 'ilmu indal laahi wa uballighukum maaa uriltu bihee wa laakinneee araakum qawman tajhaloon
He said, "Knowledge [of its time] is only with Allah, and I convey to you that with which I was sent; but I see you [to be] a people behaving ignorantly."
اس نے فرمایا اس کی خبر تو اللہ ہی کے پاس ہے میں تو تمہیں اپنے رب کے پیام پہنچاتا ہوں ہاں میری دانست میں تم نرے جاہل لوگ ہو
हूद ने कहा (इसका) इल्म तो बस ख़ुदा के पास है और (मैं जो एहकाम देकर भेजा गया हूँ) वह तुम्हें पहुँचाए देता हूँ मगर मैं तुमको देखता हूँ कि तुम जाहिल लोग हो
Falammaa ra awhu 'aaridam mustaqbila awdiyatihim qaaloo haazaa 'aaridum mumtirunaa; bal huwa masta'jaltum bihee reehun feehaa 'azaabun aleem
And when they saw it as a cloud approaching their valleys, they said, "This is a cloud bringing us rain!" Rather, it is that for which you were impatient: a wind, within it a painful punishment,
پھر جب انہوں نے عذاب کو دیکھا بادل کی طرح آسمان کے کنارے میں پھیلا ہوا ان کی وادیوں کی طرف آتا بولے یہ بادل ہے کہ ہم پر برسے گا بلکہ یہ تو وہ ہے جس کی تم جلدی مچاتے تھے، ایک آندھی ہے جس میں دردناک عذاب،
तो जब उन लोगों ने इस (अज़ाब) को देखा कि वबाल की तरह उनके मैदानों की तरफ उम्ड़ा आ रहा है तो कहने लगे ये तो बादल है जो हम पर बरस कर रहेगा (नहीं) बल्कि ये वह (अज़ाब) जिसकी तुम जल्दी मचा रहे थे (ये) वह ऑंधी है जिसमें दर्दनाक (अज़ाब) है
Destroying everything by command of its Lord. And they became so that nothing was seen [of them] except their dwellings. Thus do We recompense the criminal people.
ہر چیز کو تباہ کر ڈالتی ہے اپنے رب کے حکم سے تو صبح رہ گئے کہ نظر نہ آتے تھے مگر ان کے سُونے مکان، ہم ایسی ہی سزا دیتے ہیں مجرموں کو،
जो अपने परवरदिगार के हुक्म से हर चीज़ को तबाह व बरबाद कर देगी तो वह ऐसे (तबाह) हुए कि उनके घरों के सिवा कुछ नज़र ही नहीं आता था हम गुनाहगारों की यूँ ही सज़ा किया करते हैं
Wa laqad makkannaahum feemaaa im makkannaakum feehi waj'alnaa lahum sam'anw wa absaaranw wa af'idatan famaaa aghnaa 'anhum samu'uhum wa laaa absaaruhum wa laaa af'idatuhum min shai'in iz kaanoo yajhadoona bi Aayaatil laahi wa haaqa bihim maa kaanoo bihee yastahzi'oon
And We had certainly established them in such as We have not established you, and We made for them hearing and vision and hearts. But their hearing and vision and hearts availed them not from anything [of the punishment] when they were [continually] rejecting the signs of Allah; and they were enveloped by what they used to ridicule.
اور بیشک ہم نے انہیں وہ مقدور دیے تھے جو تم کو نہ دیے اور ان کے لیے کان اور آنکھ اور دل بنائے تو ان کے کام کان اور آنکھیں اور دل کچھ کام نہ آئے جبکہ وہ اللہ کی آیتوں کا انکار کرتے تھے اور انہیں گھیرلیا اس عذاب نے جس کی ہنسی بناتے تھے،
और हमने उनको ऐसे कामों में मक़दूर दिये थे जिनमें तुम्हें (कुछ भी) मक़दूर नहीं दिया और उन्हें कान और ऑंख और दिल (सब कुछ दिए थे) तो चूँकि वह लोग ख़ुदा की आयतों से इन्कार करने लगे तो न उनके कान ही कुछ काम आए और न उनकी ऑंखें और न उनके दिल और जिस (अज़ाब) की ये लोग हँसी उड़ाया करते थे उसने उनको हर तरफ से घेर लिया
Wa laqad ahlaknaa ma hawlakum minal quraa wa sarrafnal Aayaati la'allahum yarji'oon
And We have already destroyed what surrounds you of [those] cities, and We have diversified the signs [or verses] that perhaps they might return [from disbelief].
اور بیشک ہم نے ہلاک کردیں تمہارے آس پاس کی بستیاں اور طرح طرح کی نشانیاں لائے کہ وہ باز آئیں
और (ऐ अहले मक्का) हमने तुम्हारे इर्द गिर्द की बस्तियों को हलाक कर मारा और (अपनी क़ुदरत की) बहुत सी निशानियाँ तरह तरह से दिखा दी ताकि ये लोग बाज़ आएँ (मगर कौन सुनता है)
Falaw laa nasarahumul lazeenat takhazoo min doonil laahi qurbaanan aalihatam bal dalloo 'anhum' wa zaalika ifkuhum wa maa kaanoo yaftaroon
Then why did those they took besides Allah as deities by which to approach [Him] not aid them? But they had strayed from them. And that was their falsehood and what they were inventing.
تو کیوں نہ مدد کی ان کی جن کو انہوں نے اللہ کے سوا قرب حاصل کرنے کو خدا ٹھہرا رکھا تھا بلکہ وہ ان سے گم گئے اور یہ ان کا بہتان و افتراء ہے
तो ख़ुदा के सिवा जिन को उन लोगों ने तक़र्रुब (ख़ुदा) के लिए माबूद बना रखा था उन्होंने (अज़ाब के वक्त) उनकी क्यों न मदद की बल्कि वह तो उनसे ग़ायब हो गये और उनके झूठ और उनकी (इफ़तेरा) परदाज़ियों की ये हक़ीक़त थी
Wa iz sarafinaaa ilaika nafaram minal jinni yastami'oonal Quraana falammaa hadaroohu qaalooo ansitoo falammaa qudiya wallaw ilaa qawmihim munzireen
And [mention, O Muhammad], when We directed to you a few of the jinn, listening to the Qur'an. And when they attended it, they said, "Listen quietly." And when it was concluded, they went back to their people as warners.
اور جبکہ ہم نے تمہاری طرف کتنے جن پھیرے کان لگا کر قرآن سنتے، پھر جب وہاں حاضر ہوئے آپس میں بولے خاموش رہو پھر جب پڑھنا ہوچکا اپنی قوم کی طرف ڈر سناتے پلٹے
और जब हमने जिनों में से कई शख़्शों को तुम्हारी तरफ मुतावज्जे किया कि वह दिल लगाकर क़ुरान सुनें तो जब उनके पास हाज़िर हुए तो एक दुसरे से कहने लगे ख़ामोश बैठे (सुनते) रहो फिर जब (पढ़ना) तमाम हुआ तो अपनी क़ौम की तरफ़ वापस गए
They said, "O our people, indeed we have heard a [recited] Book revealed after Moses confirming what was before it which guides to the truth and to a straight path.
بولے اے ہماری قوم ہم نے ایک کتاب سنی کہ موسیٰ کے بعد اتاری گئی اگلی کتابوں کی تصدیق فرمائی حق اور سیدھی راہ دکھائی،
कि (उनको अज़ाब से) डराएं तो उन से कहना शुरू किया कि ऐ भाइयों हम एक किताब सुन आए हैं जो मूसा के बाद नाज़िल हुई है (और) जो किताबें, पहले (नाज़िल हुयीं) हैं उनकी तसदीक़ करती हैं सच्चे (दीन) और सीधी राह की हिदायत करती हैं
Wa mal laa yujib daa'iyal laahi falaisa bimu'jizin fil ardi wa laisa lahoo min dooniheee awliyaaa'; ulaaa ika fee dalaalim mubeen
But he who does not respond to the Caller of Allah will not cause failure [to Him] upon earth, and he will not have besides Him any protectors. Those are in manifest error."
اور جو اللہ کے منادی کی بات نہ مانے وہ زمین میں قابو سے نکل کر جانے والا نہیں اور اللہ کے سامنے اس کا کوئی مددگار نہیں وہ کھلی گمراہی میں ہیں،
और जिसने ख़ुदा की तरफ बुलाने वाले की बात न मानी तो (याद रहे कि) वह (ख़ुदा को रूए) ज़मीन में आजिज़ नहीं कर सकता और न उस के सिवा कोई सरपरस्त होगा यही लोग गुमराही में हैं
Do they not see that Allah, who created the heavens and earth and did not fail in their creation, is able to give life to the dead? Yes. Indeed, He is over all things competent.
کیا انہوں نے نہ جانا کہ وہ اللہ جس نے آسمان اور زمین بنائے اور ان کے بنانے میں نہ تھکا قادر ہے کہ مردے جِلائے، کیوں نہیں بیشک وہ سب کچھ کرسکتا ہے،
क्या इन लोगों ने ये ग़ौर नहीं किया कि जिस ख़ुदा ने सारे आसमान और ज़मीन को पैदा किया और उनके पैदा करने से ज़रा भी थका नहीं वह इस बात पर क़ादिर है कि मुर्दो को ज़िन्दा करेगा हाँ (ज़रूर) वह हर चीज़ पर क़ादिर है
Wa Yawma yu'radul lazeena kafaroo 'alan naari alaisa haaza bil haqq; qaaloo balaa wa Rabbinaa; qaala fazooqul 'azaaba bimaa kuntum takfuroon
And the Day those who disbelieved are exposed to the Fire [it will be said], "Is this not the truth?" They will say, "Yes, by our Lord." He will say, "Then taste the punishment because you used to disbelieve."
اور جس دن کافر آگ پر پیش کیے جائیں گے، ان سے فرمایا جائے گا کیا یہ حق نہیں کہیں گے کیوں نہیں ہمارے رب کی قسم، فرمایا جائے گا تو عذاب چکھو بدلہ اپنے کفر کا
जिस दिन कुफ्फ़ार (जहन्नुम की) आग के सामने पेश किए जाएँगे (तो उन से पूछा जाएगा) क्या अब भी ये बरहक़ नहीं है वह लोग कहेंगे अपने परवरदिगार की क़सम हाँ (हक़ है) ख़ुदा फ़रमाएगा तो लो अब अपने इन्कार व कुफ्र के बदले अज़ाब के मज़े चखो
Fasbir kamaa sabara ulul 'azmi minar Rusuli wa laa tasta'jil lahum; ka annahum Yawma yarawna maa yoo'adoona lam yalbasooo illaa saa'atam min nahaar; balaagh; fahal yuhlaku illal qawmul faasiqoon
So be patient, [O Muhammad], as were those of determination among the messengers and do not be impatient for them. It will be - on the Day they see that which they are promised - as though they had not remained [in the world] except an hour of a day. [This is] notification. And will [any] be destroyed except the defiantly disobedient people?
تو تم صبر کرو جیسا ہمت والے رسولوں نے صبر کیا اور ان کے لیے جلدی نہ کرو گویا وہ جس دن دیکھیں گے جو انہیں وعدہ دیا جاتا ہے دنیا میں نہ ٹھہرے تھے مگر دن کی ایک گھڑی بھر یہ پہنچانا ہے تو کون ہلاک کیے جائیں گے مگر بے حکم لوگ
तो (ऐ रसूल) पैग़म्बरों में से जिस तरह अव्वलुल अज्म (आली हिम्मत), सब्र करते रहे तुम भी सब्र करो और उनके लिए (अज़ाब) की ताज़ील की ख्वाहिश न करो जिस दिन यह लोग उस कयामत को देखेंगे जिसको उनसे वायदा किया जाता है तो (उनको मालूम होगा कि) गोया ये लोग (दुनिया में) बहुत रहे होगें तो सारे दिन में से एक घड़ी भर तो बस वही लोग हलाक होंगे जो बदकार थे
