Alhamdu lillaahi faatiris samaawaati wal ardi jaa'ilil malaaa'ikati rusulan uleee ajnihatim masnaa wa sulaasa wa rubaa'; yazeedu fil khalqi maa yashaaa'; innal laaha 'alaa kulli shai'in Qadeer
[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, [who] made the angels messengers having wings, two or three or four. He increases in creation what He wills. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.
سب خوبیاں اللہ کو جو آسمانوں اور زمین کا بنانے والا فرشتوں کو رسول کرنے والا جن کے دو دو تین تین چار چار پر ہیں، بڑھاتا ہے آفرینش (پیدائش) میں جو چاہے بیشک اللہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے،
हर तरह की तारीफ खुदा ही के लिए (मख़सूस) है जो सारे आसमान और ज़मीन का पैदा करने वाला फरिश्तों का (अपना) क़ासिद बनाने वाला है जिनके दो-दो और तीन-तीन और चार-चार पर होते हैं (मख़लूक़ात की) पैदाइश में जो (मुनासिब) चाहता है बढ़ा देता है बेशक खुदा हर चीज़ पर क़ादिर (व तवाना है)
Maa yaftahil laahu linnaaasi mir rahmatin falaa mumsika lahaa wa maa yumsik falaa mursila lahoo mimb'dih; wa Huwal 'Azeezul Hakeem
Whatever Allah grants to people of mercy - none can withhold it; and whatever He withholds - none can release it thereafter. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
اللہ جو رحمت لوگوں کے لیے کھولے اس کا کوئی روکنے والا نہیں، اور جو کچھ روک لے تو اس کی روک کے بعد اس کا کوئی چھوڑنے والا نہیں، اور وہی عزت و حکمت والا ہے،
लोगों के वास्ते जब (अपनी) रहमत (के दरवाजे) ख़ोल दे तो कोई उसे जारी नहीं कर सकता और जिस चीज़ को रोक ले उसके बाद उसे कोई रोक नहीं सकता और वही हर चीज़ पर ग़ालिब और दाना व बीना हकीम है
Yaaa ayyuhan naasuzkuroo ni'matal laahi 'alaikum; hal min khaaliqin ghairul laahi yarzuqukum minas samaaa'i wal ard; laaa ilaaha illaa Huwa fa annaa tu'fakoon
O mankind, remember the favor of Allah upon you. Is there any creator other than Allah who provides for you from the heaven and earth? There is no deity except Him, so how are you deluded?
اے لوگو! اپنے اوپر اللہ کا احسان یاد کرو کیا اللہ کے سوا اور بھی کوئی خالق ہے کہ آسمان اور زمین سے تمہیں روزی دے، اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، تو تم کہاں اوندھے جاتے ہو
लोगों खुदा के एहसानात को जो उसने तुम पर किए हैं याद करो क्या खुदा के सिवा कोई और ख़ालिक है जो आसमान और ज़मीन से तुम्हारी रोज़ी पहुँचाता है उसके सिवा कोई माबूद क़ाबिले परसतिश नहीं फिर तुम किधर बहके चले जा रहे हो
Wa iny yukazzibooka faqad kuzzibat Rusulum min qablik; wa ilal laahi turja'ul umoor
And if they deny you, [O Muhammad] - already were messengers denied before you. And to Allah are returned [all] matters.
اور اگر یہ تمہیں جھٹلائیں تو بیشک تم سے پہلے کتنے ہی رسول جھٹلائے گئے اور سب کام اللہ ہی کی طرف سے پھرتے ہیں
और (ऐ रसूल) अगर ये लोग तुम्हें झुठलाएँ तो (कुढ़ो नहीं) तुमसे पहले बहुतेरे पैग़म्बर (लोगों के हाथों) झुठलाए जा चुके हैं और (आख़िर) कुल उमूर की रूजू तो खुदा ही की तरफ है
O mankind, indeed the promise of Allah is truth, so let not the worldly life delude you and be not deceived about Allah by the Deceiver.
اے لوگو! بیشک اللہ کا وعدہ سچ ہے تو ہرگز تمہیں دھوکا نہ دے دنیا کی زندگی، اور ہرگز تمہیں اللہ کے حکم پر فریب نہ دے وہ بڑا فریبی
लोगों खुदा का (क़यामत का) वायदा यक़ीनी बिल्कुल सच्चा है तो (कहीं) तुम्हें दुनिया की (चन्द रोज़ा) ज़िन्दगी फ़रेब में न लाए (ऐसा न हो कि शैतान) तुम्हें खुदा के बारे में धोखा दे
Allazeena kafaroo lahum 'azaabun shadeed; wallazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati lahum maghfiratunw wa ajrun kabeer
Those who disbelieve will have a severe punishment, and those who believe and do righteous deeds will have forgiveness and great reward.
کافروں کے لیے سخت عذاب ہے، اور جو ایمان لائے اور اچھے کام کیے ان کے لیے بخشش اور بڑا ثواب ہے،
जिन लोगों ने (दुनिया में) कुफ्र इख़तेयार किया उनके लिए (आखेरत में) सख्त अज़ाब है और जिन लोगों ने ईमान क़ुबूल किया और अच्छे-अच्छे काम किए उनके लिए (गुनाहों की) मग़फेरत और निहायत अच्छा बदला (बेहश्त) है
Afaman zuyyina lahoo sooo'u 'amalihee fara aahu hasanaa; fa innal laaha yudillu mai yashaaa'u wa yahdee mai yahaaa'u falaa tazhab nafsuka 'alaihim hasaraat; innal laaha 'aleemun bimaa yasna'oon
Then is one to whom the evil of his deed has been made attractive so he considers it good [like one rightly guided]? For indeed, Allah sends astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. So do not let yourself perish over them in regret. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of what they do.
تو کیا وہ جس کی نگاہ میں اس کا برا کام آراستہ کیا گیا کہ اس نے اسے بھلا سمجھا ہدایت والے کی طرح ہوجائے گا اس لیے اللہ گمراہ کرتا ہے جسے چاہے اور راہ دیتا ہے جسے چاہے، تو تمہاری جان ان پر حسرتوں میں نہ جائے اللہ خوب جانتا ہے جو کچھ وہ کرتے ہیں،
तो भला वह शख्स जिसे उस का बुरा काम शैतानी (अग़वॉ से) अच्छा कर दिखाया गया है औ वह उसे अच्छा समझने लगा है (कभी मोमिन नेकोकार के बराबर हो सकता है हरगिज़ नहीं) तो यक़ीनी (बात) ये है कि ख़ुदा जिसे चाहता है गुमराही में छोड़ देता है और जिसे चाहता है राहे रास्त पर आने (की तौफ़ीक़) देता है तो (ऐ रसूल कहीं) उन (बदबख्तों) पर अफसोस कर करके तुम्हारे दम न निकल जाए जो कुछ ये लोग करते हैं ख़ुदा उससे खूब वाक़िफ़ है
And it is Allah who sends the winds, and they stir the clouds, and We drive them to a dead land and give life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness. Thus is the resurrection.
اور اللہ ہے جس نے بھیجیں ہوائیں کہ بادل ابھارتی ہیں، پھر ہم اسے کسی مردہ شہر کی طرف رواں کرتے ہیں تو اس کے سبب ہم زمین کو زندہ فرماتے ہیں اس کے مرے پیچھے یونہی حشر میں اٹھنا ہے
और ख़ुदा ही वह (क़ादिर व तवाना) है जो हवाओं को भेजता है तो हवाएँ बादलों को उड़ाए-उड़ाए फिरती है फिर हम उस बादल को मुर्दा (उफ़तादा) शहर की तरफ हका देते हैं फिर हम उसके ज़रिए से ज़मीन को उसके मर जाने के बाद शादाब कर देते हैं यूँ ही (मुर्दों को क़यामत में जी उठना होगा)
Man kaana yureedul 'izzata falillaahil 'izzatu jamee'aa; ilaihi yas'adul kalimut taiyibu wal'amalus saalihu yarfa'uh; wallazeena yamkuroonas sayyiaati lahum 'azaabun shadeed; wa makru ulaaa'ika huwa yaboor
Whoever desires honor [through power] - then to Allah belongs all honor. To Him ascends good speech, and righteous work raises it. But they who plot evil deeds will have a severe punishment, and the plotting of those - it will perish.
جسے عزت کی چاہ ہو تو عزت تو سب اللہ کے ہاتھ ہے اسی کی طرف چڑھتا ہے پاکیزہ کلام اور جو نیک کام سے وہ اسے بلند کرتا ہے اور وہ جو برے داؤں (فریب) کرتے ہیں ان کے لیے سخت عذاب ہے اور انہیں کا مکر برباد ہوگا (ف۲۸
जो शख्स इज्ज़त का ख्वाहाँ हो तो ख़ुदा से माँगे क्योंकि सारी इज्ज़त खुदा ही की है उसकी बारगाह तक अच्छी बातें (बुलन्द होकर) पहुँचतीं हैं और अच्छे काम को वह खुद बुलन्द फरमाता है और जो लोग (तुम्हारे ख़िलाफ) बुरी-बुरी तदबीरें करते रहते हैं उनके लिए क़यामत में सख्त अज़ाब है और (आख़िर) उन लोगों की तदबीर मटियामेट हो जाएगी
Wallaahu khalaqakum min turaabin summa min nutfatin summa ja'alakum azwaajaa; wa maa tahmilu min unsaa wa laa tada'u illaa bi'ilmih; wa maa yu'ammaru mim mu'ammarinw wa laa yunqasu min 'umuriheee illaa fee kitaab; inna zaalika 'alal laahi yaseer
And Allah created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop; then He made you mates. And no female conceives nor does she give birth except with His knowledge. And no aged person is granted [additional] life nor is his lifespan lessened but that it is in a register. Indeed, that for Allah is easy.
اور اللہ نے تمہیں بنایا مٹی سے پھر پانی کی بوند سے پھر تمہیں کیا جوڑے جوڑے اور کسی مادہ کو پیٹ نہیں رہتا اور نہ وہ جتنی ہے مگر اس کے علم سے، اور جس بڑی عمر والے کو عمر دی جائے یا جس کسی کی عمر کم رکھی جائے یہ سب ایک کتاب میں ہے بیشک یہ اللہ کو آسان ہے
और खुदा ही ने तुम लोगों को (पहले पहल) मिट्टी से पैदा किया फिर नतफ़े से फिर तुमको जोड़ा (नर मादा) बनाया और बग़ैर उसके इल्म (इजाज़त) के न कोई औरत हमेला होती है और न जनती है और न किसी शख्स की उम्र में ज्यादती होती है और न किसी की उम्र से कमी की जाती है मगर वह किताब (लौहे महफूज़) में (ज़रूर) है बेशक ये बात खुदा पर बहुत ही आसान है
Wa maa yastawil bahraani haaza 'azbun furaatun saaa'ighun sharaabuhoo wa haazaa milhun ujaaj; wa min kullin taakuloona lahman tariyyanw wa tastakhrijoona hilyatan talbasoonahaa wa taral fulka feehi mawaakhira litabtaghoo min fadlihee wa la'allakm tashkuroon
And not alike are the two bodies of water. One is fresh and sweet, palatable for drinking, and one is salty and bitter. And from each you eat tender meat and extract ornaments which you wear, and you see the ships plowing through [them] that you might seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful.
اور دونوں سمندر ایک سے نہیں یہ میٹھا ہے خوب میٹھا پانی خوشگوار اور یہ کھاری ہے تلخ اور ہر ایک میں سے تم کھاتے ہو تازہ گوشت اور نکالتے ہو پہننے کا ایک گہنا (زیور) اور تو کشتیوں کو اس میں دیکھے کہ پانی چیرتی ہیں تاکہ تم اس کا فضل تلاش کرو اور کسی طرح حق مانو
(उसकी कुदरत देखो) दो समन्दर बावजूद मिल जाने के यकसाँ नहीं हो जाते ये (एक तो) मीठा खुश ज़ाएका कि उसका पीना सुवारत (ख़ुश्गवार) है और ये (दूसरा) खारी कड़ुवा है और (इस इख़तेलाफ पर भी) तुम लोग दोनों से (मछली का) तरो ताज़ा गोश्त (यकसाँ) खाते हो और (अपने लिए ज़ेवरात (मोती वग़ैरह) निकालते हो जिन्हें तुम पहनते हो और तुम देखते हो कि कश्तियां दरिया में (पानी को) फाड़ती चली जाती हैं ताकि उसके फज्ल (व करम तिजारत) की तलाश करो और ताकि तुम लोग शुक्र करो
Yoolijul laila fin nahaari wa yoolijun nahaara fil laili wa sakhkharash shamsa wal qamara kulluny yajree li ajalim musammaa; zaalikumul lahuu Rabbukum lahul mulk; wallazeena tad'oona min doonihee maa yamlikoona min qitmeer
He causes the night to enter the day, and He causes the day to enter the night and has subjected the sun and the moon - each running [its course] for a specified term. That is Allah, your Lord; to Him belongs sovereignty. And those whom you invoke other than Him do not possess [as much as] the membrane of a date seed.
رات لاتا ہے دن کے حصہ میں اور دن لاتا ہے رات کے حصہ میں اور اس نے کام میں لگائے سورج اور چاند ہر ایک ایک مقرر میعاد تک چلتا ہے یہ ہے اللہ تمہارا رب اسی کی بادشاہی ہے، اور اس کے سوا جنہیں تم پوجتے ہو دانہ خُرما کے چھلکے تک کے مالک نہیں،
वही रात को (बढ़ा के) दिन में दाख़िल करता है (तो रात बढ़ जाती है) और वही दिन को (बढ़ा के) रात में दाख़िल करता है (तो दिन बढ़ जाता है और) उसी ने सूरज और चाँद को अपना मुतीइ बना रखा है कि हर एक अपने (अपने) मुअय्यन (तय) वक्त पर चला करता है वही खुदा तुम्हारा परवरदिगार है उसी की सलतनत है और उसे छोड़कर जिन माबूदों को तुम पुकारते हो वह छुवारों की गुठली की झिल्ली के बराबर भी तो इख़तेयार नहीं रखते
in tad'oohum laa yasma'oo du'aaa'akum wa law sami'oo mas tajaaboo lakum; wa Yawmal Qiyaamati Yakfuroona bishirkikum; wa laa yunabbi'uka mislu khabeer
If you invoke them, they do not hear your supplication; and if they heard, they would not respond to you. And on the Day of Resurrection they will deny your association. And none can inform you like [one] Acquainted [with all matters].
تم انہیں پکارو تو وہ تمہاری پکار نہ سنیں، اور بالفرض سن بھی لیں تو تمہاری حاجت روانہ کرسکیں اور قیامت کے دن وہ تمہارے شرک سے منکر ہوں گے اور تجھے کوئی نہ بتائے گا اس بتانے والے کی طرح
अगर तुम उनको पुकारो तो वह तुम्हारी पुकार को सुनते नहीं अगर (बिफ़रज़े मुहाल) सुनों भी तो तुम्हारी दुआएँ नहीं कुबूल कर सकते और क़यामत के दिन तुम्हारे शिर्क से इन्कार कर बैठेंगें और वाक़िफकार (शख्स की तरह कोई दूसरा उनकी पूरी हालत) तुम्हें बता नहीं सकता
Wa laa taziru waaziratun wizra ukhraa; wa in tad'u musqalatun ilaa himlihaa laa yuhmal minhu shai'unw wa law kaana zaa qurbaa; innamaa tunzirul lazeena yakhshawna Rabbahum bilghaibi wa aqaamus Sallah; wa man tazakkaa fa innamaa yatazakkaa linafsih; wa ilal laahil maseer
And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And if a heavily laden soul calls [another] to [carry some of] its load, nothing of it will be carried, even if he should be a close relative. You can only warn those who fear their Lord unseen and have established prayer. And whoever purifies himself only purifies himself for [the benefit of] his soul. And to Allah is the [final] destination.
اور کوئی بوجھ اٹھانے والی جان دوسرے کا بوجھ نہ اٹھائے گی اور اگر کوئی بوجھ والی اپنا بوجھ بٹانے کو کسی کو بلائے تو اس کے بوجھ میں سے کوئی کچھ نہ اٹھائے گا اگرچہ قریب رشتہ دار ہو اے محبوب! تمہارا ڈر سناتا انہیں کو کام دیتا ہے جو بے دیکھے اپنے رب! سے ڈرتے ہیں اور نماز قائم رکھتے ہیں، اور جو ستھرا ہوا تو اپنے ہی بھلے کو ستھرا ہوا اور اللہ ہی کی طرف پھرنا ہے،
और याद रहे कि कोई शख्स किसी दूसरे (के गुनाह) का बोझ नहीं उठाएगा और अगर कोई (अपने गुनाहों का) भारी बोझ उठाने वाला अपना बोझ उठाने के वास्ते (किसी को) बुलाएगा तो उसके बारे में से कुछ भी उठाया न जाएगा अगरचे (कोई किसी का) कराबतदार ही (क्यों न) हो (ऐ रसूल) तुम तो बस उन्हीं लोगों को डरा सकते हो जो बे देखे भाले अपने परवरदिगार का ख़ौफ रखते हैं और पाबन्दी से नमाज़ पढ़ते हैं और (याद रखो कि) जो शख्स पाक साफ रहता है वह अपने ही फ़ायदे के वास्ते पाक साफ रहता है और (आख़िरकार सबको हिरफिर के) खुदा ही की तरफ जाना है
19
وَمَا يَسْتَوِى ٱلْأَعْمَىٰ وَٱلْبَصِيرُ
Wa maa tastawil a'maa wal baseer
Not equal are the blind and the seeing,
اور برابر نہیں اندھا اور انکھیارا
और अन्धा (क़ाफिर) और ऑंखों वाला (मोमिन किसी तरह) बराबर नहीं हो सकते
Wa maa yastawil ahyaaa'u wa lal amwaat; innal laaha yusmi'u mai yashaaa'u wa maaa anta bimusi'im man fil quboor
And not equal are the living and the dead. Indeed, Allah causes to hear whom He wills, but you cannot make hear those in the graves.
اور برابر نہیں زندے اور مردے بیشک اللہ سنا تا ہے جسے چاہے اور تم نہیں سنانے والے انہیں جو قبروں میں پڑے ہیں
और न ज़िन्दे (मोमिनीन) और न मुर्दें (क़ाफिर) बराबर हो सकते हैं और खुदा जिसे चाहता है अच्छी तरह सुना (समझा) देता है और (ऐ रसूल) जो (कुफ्फ़ार मुर्दों की तरह) क़ब्रों में हैं उन्हें तुम अपनी (बातें) नहीं समझा सकते हो
Innaa arsalnaak bil haqqi basheeranw wa nazeeraa; wa im min ummatin illaa khalaa feehaa nazeer
Indeed, We have sent you with the truth as a bringer of good tidings and a warner. And there was no nation but that there had passed within it a warner.
اے محبوب! بیشک ہم نے تمہیں حق کے ساتھ بھیجا خوشخبری دیتا اور ڈر سنا تا اور جو کوئی گروہ تھا سب میں ایک ڈر سنانے والا گزر چکا
हम ही ने तुमको यक़ीनन कुरान के साथ खुशख़बरी देने वाला और डराने वाला ( पैग़म्बर) बनाकर भेजा और कोई उम्मत (दुनिया में)
Wa inyukazzibooka faqad kazzabal lazeena min qablihim jaaa'at hum Rusuluhum bilbaiyinaati wa biz Zuburi wa bil Kitaabil Muneer
And if they deny you - then already have those before them denied. Their messengers came to them with clear proofs and written ordinances and with the enlightening Scripture.
اور اگر یہ تمہیں جھٹلائیں تو ان سے اگلے بھی جھٹلاچکے ہیں ان کے پاس ان کے رسول آئے روشن دلیلیں اور صحیفے اور چمکتی کتاب لے کر،
ऐसी नहीं गुज़री कि उसके पास (हमारा) डराने वाला पैग़म्बर न आया हो और अगर ये लोग तुम्हें झुठलाएँ तो कुछ परवाह नहीं करो क्योंकि इनके अगलों ने भी (अपने पैग़म्बरों को) झुठलाया है (हालाँकि) उनके पास उनके पैग़म्बर वाज़ेए व रौशन मौजिजे अौर सहीफ़े और रौशन किताब लेकर आए थे
Alam tara annal laaha anzala minas samaaa'i maaa'an fa akhrajnaa bihee samaraatim mukhtalifan alwaanuhaa; wa minal jibaali judadum beedunw wa humrum mukhtalifun alwaanuhaa wa gharaabeebu sood
Do you not see that Allah sends down rain from the sky, and We produce thereby fruits of varying colors? And in the mountains are tracts, white and red of varying shades and [some] extremely black.
کیا تو نے نہ دیکھا کہ اللہ نے آسمان سے پانی اتارا تو ہم نے اس سے پھل نکالے رنگ برنگ اور پہاڑوں میں راستے ہیں سفید اور سرخ رنگ رنگ کے او رکچھ کالے بھوچنگ (سیاہ کالے)
अब क्या तुमने इस पर भी ग़ौर नहीं किया कि यक़ीनन खुदा ही ने आसमान से पानी बरसाया फिर हम (खुदा) ने उसके ज़रिए से तरह-तरह की रंगतों के फल पैदा किए और पहाड़ों में क़तआत (टुकड़े रास्ते) हैं जिनके रंग मुख़तलिफ है कुछ तो सफेद (बुर्राक़) और कुछ लाल (लाल) और कुछ बिल्कुल काले सियाह
Wa minan naasi wadda waaabbi wal an'aami mukhtalifun alwaanuhoo kazalik; innamaa yakhshal laaha min 'ibaadihil 'ulamaaa'; innal laaha 'Azeezun Ghafoor
And among people and moving creatures and grazing livestock are various colors similarly. Only those fear Allah, from among His servants, who have knowledge. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Forgiving.
اور آدمیوں اور جانوروں اور چوپایوں کے رنگ یونہی طرح طرح کے ہیں اللہ سے اس کے بندوں میں وہی ڈرتے ہیں جو علم والے ہیں بیشک اللہ بخشنے والا عزت والا ہے،
और इसी तरह आदमियों और जानवरों और चारपायों की भी रंगते तरह-तरह की हैं उसके बन्दों में ख़ुदा का ख़ौफ करने वाले तो बस उलेमा हैं बेशक खुदा (सबसे) ग़ालिब और बख्शने वाला है
Innal lazeena yatloona Kitabbal laahi wa aqaamus Salaata wa anfaqoo mimmaa razaqnaahum sirranw wa 'alaa niyatany yarjoona tijaaratal lan taboor
Indeed, those who recite the Book of Allah and establish prayer and spend [in His cause] out of what We have provided them, secretly and publicly, [can] expect a profit that will never perish -
بیشک وہ جو اللہ کی کتاب پڑھتے ہیں اور نماز قائم رکھتے اور ہمارے دیے سے کچھ ہماری راہ میں خرچ کرتے ہیں پوشیدہ اور ظاہر وہ ایسی تجارت کے امیدوار ہیں جس میں ہرگز ٹوُٹا (نقصان) نہیں،
बेशक जो लोग Âुदा की किताब पढ़ा करते हैं और पाबन्दी से नमाज़ पढ़ते हैं और जो कुछ हमने उन्हें अता किया है उसमें से छिपा के और दिखा के (खुदा की राह में) देते हैं वह यक़ीनन ऐसे व्यापार का आसरा रखते हैं
Liyuwaffiyahum ujoorahum wa yazeedahum min fadlih; innahoo Ghafoorun Shakoor
That He may give them in full their rewards and increase for them of His bounty. Indeed, He is Forgiving and Appreciative.
تاکہ ان کے ثواب انہیں بھرپور دے اور اپنے فضل سے اور زیادہ عطا کرے، بیشک وہ بخشنے والا قدر فرمانے والا ہے،
जिसका कभी टाट न उलटेगा ताकि खुदा उन्हें उनकी मज़दूरियाँ भरपूर अता करे बल्कि अपने फज़ल (व करम) से उसे कुछ और बढ़ा देगा बेशक वह बड़ा बख्शने वाला है (और) बड़ा क़द्रदान है
Wallaeee awhainaaa ilaika minal Kitaabi huwal haqqu musaddiqal limaa baina yadayh; innal laaha bi'ibaadihee la khabeerum Baseer
And that which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], of the Book is the truth, confirming what was before it. Indeed, Allah, of His servants, is Acquainted and Seeing.
اور ہو کتاب جو ہم نے تمہاری طرف وحی بھیجی وہی حق ہے اپنے سے اگلی کتابوں کی تصدیق فرماتی ہوئی، بیشک اللہ اپنے بندوں سے خبردار دیکھنے والا ہے
और हमने जो किताब तुम्हारे पास ''वही'' के ज़रिए से भेजी वह बिल्कुल ठीक है और जो (किताबें इससे पहले की) उसके सामने (मौजूद) हैं उनकी तसदीक़ भी करती हैं - बेशक खुदा अपने बन्दों (के हालात) से खूब वाक़िफ है (और) देख रहा है
Summa awrasnal Kitaaballazeenas tafainaa min 'ibaadinaa faminhum zaalimul linafsihee wa minhum muqtasid, wa minhum saabiqum bilkhairaati bi iznil laah; zaalika huwal fadlul kabeer
Then we caused to inherit the Book those We have chosen of Our servants; and among them is he who wrongs himself, and among them is he who is moderate, and among them is he who is foremost in good deeds by permission of Allah. That [inheritance] is what is the great bounty.
پھر ہم نے کتاب کا وارث کیا اپنے چُنے ہوئے بندوں کو تو ان میں کوئی اپنی جان پر ظلم کرتا ہے اور ان میں کوئی میانہ چال پر ہے، اور ان میں کوئی وہ ہے جو اللہ کے حکم سے بھلائیوں میں سبقت لے گیا یہی بڑا فضل ہے،
फिर हमने अपने बन्दगान में से ख़ास उनको कुरान का वारिस बनाया जिन्हें (अहल समझकर) मुन्तख़िब किया क्योंकि बन्दों में से कुछ तो (नाफरमानी करके) अपनी जान पर सितम ढाते हैं और कुछ उनमें से (नेकी बदी के) दरमियान हैं और उनमें से कुछ लोग खुदा के इख़तेयार से नेकों में (औरों से) गोया सबकत ले गए हैं (इन्तेख़ाब व सबक़त) तो खुदा का बड़ा फज़ल है
jannaatu 'adniny yad khuloonahaa yuhallawna feeha min asaawira min zahabinw wa lu'lu'anw wa libaa suhum feehaa hareer
[For them are] gardens of perpetual residence which they will enter. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearls, and their garments therein will be silk.
بسنے کے باغوں میں داخل ہوں گے وہ ان میں سونے کے کنگن اور موتی پہنائے جائیں گے اور وہاں ان کی پوشاک ریشمی ہے،
(और उसका सिला बेहिश्त के) सदा बहार बाग़ात हैं जिनमें ये लोग दाख़िल होंगे और उन्हें वहाँ सोने के कंगन और मोती पहनाए जाएँगे और वहाँ उनकी (मामूली) पोशाक ख़ालिस रेशमी होगी
Allazeee ahallanaa daaral muqaamati min fadlihee laa yamassunaa feehaa nasabunw wa laa yamassunaa feehaa lughoob
He who has settled us in the home of duration out of His bounty. There touches us not in it any fatigue, and there touches us not in it weariness [of mind]."
وہ جس نے ہمیں آرام کی جگہ اتارا اپنے فضل سے، ہمیں اس میں نہ کوئی تکلیف پہنچے نہ ہمیں اس میں کوئی تکان لاحق ہو،
जिसने हमको अपने फज़ल (व करम) से हमेशगी के घर (बेहिश्त) में उतारा (मेहमान किया) जहाँ हमें कोई तकलीफ छुयेगी भी तो नहीं और न कोई थकान ही पहुँचेगी
Wallazeena kafaroo lahum naaru Jahannama laa yuqdaa 'alaihim fa yamootoo wa laa yukhaffafu 'anhum min 'azaabihaa; kazaalika najzee kulla kafoor
And for those who disbelieve will be the fire of Hell. [Death] is not decreed for them so they may die, nor will its torment be lightened for them. Thus do we recompense every ungrateful one.
اور جنہوں نے کفر کیا ان کے لیے جہنم کی آگ ہے نہ ان کی قضا آئے کہ مرجائیں اور نہ ان پر اس کا عذاب کچھ ہلکا کیاجائے، ہم ایسی ہی سزا دیتے ہیں ہر بڑے ناشکرے کو،
और जो लोग काफिर हो बैठे उनके लिए जहन्नुम की आग है न उनकी कज़ा ही आएगी कि वह मर जाए और तकलीफ से नजात मिले और न उनसे उनके अज़ाब ही में तख़फीफ की जाएगी हम हर नाशुक्रे की सज़ा यूँ ही किया करते हैं
Wa hum yastarikhoona feehaa Rabbanaa akhrijnaa na'mal saalihan ghairal lazee kunnaa na'mal; awa lamnu 'ammirkum maa yatazak karu feehi man tazakkara wa jaaa'akumun nazeeru fazooqoo famaa lizzaalimeena min naseer
And they will cry out therein, "Our Lord, remove us; we will do righteousness - other than what we were doing!" But did We not grant you life enough for whoever would remember therein to remember, and the warner had come to you? So taste [the punishment], for there is not for the wrongdoers any helper.
اور وہ اس میں چلاتے ہوں گے اے ہمارے رب! ہمیں نکال کہ ہم اچھا کام کریں اس کے خلاف جو پہلے کرتے تھے اور کیا ہم نے تمہیں وہ عمر نہ دی تھی جس میں سمجھ لیتا جسے سمجھنا ہوتا اور ڈر سنانے والا تمہارے پاس تشریف لایا تھا تو اب چکھو کہ ظالموں کا کوئی مددگار نہیں،
और ये लोग दोजख़ में (पड़े) चिल्लाया करेगें कि परवरदिगार अब हमको (यहाँ से) निकाल दे तो जो कुछ हम करते थे उसे छोड़कर नेक काम करेंगे (तो ख़ुदा जवाब देगा कि) क्या हमने तुम्हें इतनी उम्रें न दी थी कि जिनमें जिसको जो कुछ सोंचना समझना (मंज़ूर) हो खूब सोच समझ ले और (उसके अलावा) तुम्हारे पास (हमारा) डराने वाला (पैग़म्बर) भी पहुँच गया था तो (अपने किए का मज़ा) चखो क्योंकि सरकश लोगों का कोई मद्दगार नहीं
Huwal lazee ja'alakum khalaaa'ifa fil ard; faman kafara fa'alaihi kufruhoo; wa laa yazeedul kaafireena kufruhum 'inda Rabbihim illaa maqtanw wa la yazeedul kaafireena kufruhum illaa khasaaraa
It is He who has made you successors upon the earth. And whoever disbelieves - upon him will be [the consequence of] his disbelief. And the disbelief of the disbelievers does not increase them in the sight of their Lord except in hatred; and the disbelief of the disbelievers does not increase them except in loss.
وہی ہے جس نے تمہیں زمین میں اگلوں کا جانشین کیا تو جو کفر کرے اس کا کفر اسی پر پڑے اور کافروں کو ان کا کفر ان کے رب کے یہاں نہیں بڑھائے گا مگر بیزاری اور کافروں کو ان کا کفر نہ بڑھائے گا مگر نقصان
वह वही खुदा है जिसने रूए ज़मीन में तुम लोगों को (अगलों का) जानशीन बनाया फिर जो शख्स काफ़िर होगा तो उसके कुफ़्र का वबाल उसी पर पड़ेगा और काफ़िरों को उनका कुफ्र उनके परवरदिगार की बारगाह में ग़ज़ब के सिवा कुछ बढ़ाएगा नहीं और कुफ्फ़ार को उनका कुफ़्र घाटे के सिवा कुछ नफ़ा न देगा
Qul ara'aytum shurakaaa'a kumul lazeena tad'oona min doonil laah; aroonee maazaa khalaqoo minal ardi am lahum shirkun fis samaawaati am aatainaahum Kitaaban fahum 'alaa baiyinatim minh; bal iny ya'iiduz zaalimoona ba 'duhum ba'dan illaa ghurooraa
Say, "Have you considered your 'partners' whom you invoke besides Allah? Show me what they have created from the earth, or have they partnership [with Him] in the heavens? Or have We given them a book so they are [standing] on evidence therefrom? [No], rather, the wrongdoers do not promise each other except delusion."
تم فرماؤ بھلا بتلاؤ تو اپنے وہ شریک جنہیں اللہ کے سوا پوجتے ہو مجھے دکھاؤ انہوں نے زمین میں سے کونسا حصہ بنایا یا آسمانوں میں کچھ ان کا ساجھا ہے یا ہم نے انہیں کوئی کتاب دی ہے کہ وہ اس کی روشن دلیلوں پر ہیں بلکہ ظالم آپس میں ایک دوسرے کو وعدہ نہیں دیتے مگر فریب کا
(ऐ रसूल) तुम (उनसे) पूछो तो कि खुदा के सिवा अपने जिन शरीकों की तुम क़यादत करते थे क्या तुमने उन्हें (कुछ) देखा भी मुझे भी ज़रा दिखाओ तो कि उन्होंने ज़मीन (की चीज़ों) से कौन सी चीज़ पैदा की या आसमानों में कुछ उनका आधा साझा है या हमने खुद उन्हें कोई किताब दी है कि वह उसकी दलील रखते हैं (ये सब तो कुछ नहीं) बल्कि ये ज़ालिम एक दूसरे से (धोखे और) फरेब ही का वायदा करते हैं
Innal laaha yumsikus samaawaati wal arda an tazoolaaa; wa la'in zaalataaa in amsa kahumaa min ahadim mim ba'dih; innahoo kaana Haleeman Ghafooraa
Indeed, Allah holds the heavens and the earth, lest they cease. And if they should cease, no one could hold them [in place] after Him. Indeed, He is Forbearing and Forgiving.
بیشک اللہ روکے ہوئے ہے آسمانوں اور زمین کو کہ جنبش نہ کریں اور اگر وہ ہٹ جائیں تو انہیں کون روکے اللہ کے سوا، بیشک وہ علم بخشنے والا ہے،
बेशक खुदा ही सारे आसमान और ज़मीन अपनी जगह से हट जाने से रोके हुए है और अगर (फर्ज़ करे कि) ये अपनी जगह से हट जाए तो फिर तो उसके सिवा उन्हें कोई रोक नहीं सकता बेशक वह बड़ा बुर्दबर (और) बड़ा बख्शने वाला है
Wa aqsamoo billaahi jahda aymaanihim la'in jaaa'ahum nazeerul layakoonunna ahdaa min ihdal umami falam maa jaaa'ahum nazeerum maa zaadahum illaa nufooraa
And they swore by Allah their strongest oaths that if a warner came to them, they would be more guided than [any] one of the [previous] nations. But when a warner came to them, it did not increase them except in aversion.
اور انہوں نے اللہ کی قسم کھائی اپنی قسموں میں حد کی کوشش سے کہ اگر ان کے پاس کوئی ڈر سنانے والا آیا تو وہ ضرور کسی نہ کسی گروہ سے زیادہ راہ پر ہوں گے پھر جب ان کے پاس ڈر سنانے والا تشریف لایا تو اس نے انہیں نہ بڑھا مگر نفرت کرنا
और ये लोग तो खुदा की बड़ी-बड़ी सख्त क़समें खा (कर कहते) थे कि बेशक अगर उनके पास कोई डराने वाला (पैग़म्बर) आएगा तो वह ज़रूर हर एक उम्मत से ज्यादा रूबसह होंगे फिर जब उनके पास डराने वाला (रसूल) आ पहुँचा तो (उन लोगों को) रूए ज़मीन में सरकशी और बुरी-बुरी तद्बीरें करने की वजह से
Istakbaaran fil ardi wa makras sayyi'; wa laa yaheequl makrus sayyi'u illaa bi ahlih; fahal yanzuroona illaa sunnatal awwaleen; falan tajida lisunnatil laahi tabdeelanw wa lan tajida lisunnatil laahi tahweela
[Due to] arrogance in the land and plotting of evil; but the evil plot does not encompass except its own people. Then do they await except the way of the former peoples? But you will never find in the way of Allah any change, and you will never find in the way of Allah any alteration.
اپنی جان کو زمین میں اونچا کھینچنا اور برا داؤں اور برا داؤں (فریب) اپنے چلنے والے ہی پر پڑتا ہے تو کا ہے کے انتظار میں ہیں مگر اسی کے جو اگلوں کا دستور ہوا تو تم ہرگز اللہ کے دستور کو بدلتا نہ پاؤ گے اور ہرگز اللہ کے قانون کو ٹلتا نہ پاؤ گے،
(उसके आने से) उनकी नफरत को तरक्की ही होती गयी और बुदी तद्बीर (की बुराई) तो बुरी तद्बीर करने वाले ही पर पड़ती है तो (हो न हो) ये लोग बस अगले ही लोगों के बरताव के मुन्तज़िर हैं तो (बेहतर) तुम खुदा के दसतूर में कभी तब्दीली न पाओगे और खुदा की आदत में हरगिज़ कोई तग़य्युर न पाओगे
Awalam yaseeroo fil ardi fa yanzuroo kaifa kaana 'aaqibatul lazeena min qblihim wa kaanoo ashadda minhum quwwah; wa maa kaanal laahu liyu'jizahoo min shai'in fis samaawaati wa laa fil ard; innahoo kaana 'Aleeman Qadeeraa
Have they not traveled through the land and observed how was the end of those before them? And they were greater than them in power. But Allah is not to be caused failure by anything in the heavens or on the earth. Indeed, He is ever Knowing and Competent.
اور کیا انہوں نے زمین میں سفر نہ کیا کہ دیکھتے ان سے اگلوں کا کیسا انجام ہوا اور وہ ان سے زور میں سخت تھے اور اللہ وہ نہیں جس کے قابو سے نکل سکے کوئی شئے آسمانوں اور نہ زمین میں، بیشک وہ علم و قدرت والا ہے،
तो क्या उन लोगों ने रूए ज़मीन पर चल फिर कर नहीं देखा कि जो लोग उनके पहले थे और उनसे ज़ोर व कूवत में भी कहीं बढ़-चढ़ के थे फिर उनका (नाफ़रमानी की वजह से) क्या (ख़राब) अन्जाम हुआ और खुदा ऐसा (गया गुज़रा) नहीं है कि उसे कोई चीज़ आजिज़ कर सके (न इतने) आसमानों में और न ज़मीन में बेशक वह बड़ा ख़बरदार (और) बड़ी (क़ाबू) कुदरत वाला है
Wa law yu'aakhizul laahun naasa bima kasaboo maa taraka 'alaa zahrihaa min daaabbatinw wa laakiny yu'akhkhiruhum ilaaa ajalim musamman fa izaa jaaa'a ajaluhum fa innal laaha kaana bi'ibaadihee Baseeraa
And if Allah were to impose blame on the people for what they have earned, He would not leave upon the earth any creature. But He defers them for a specified term. And when their time comes, then indeed Allah has ever been, of His servants, Seeing.
اور اگر اللہ لوگوں کو ان کے کیے پر پکڑتا تو زمین کی پیٹھ پر کوئی چلنے والا نہ چھوڑتا لیکن ایک مقرر میعاد تک انہیں ڈھیل دیتا ہے پھر جب ان کا وعدہ آئے گا تو بیشک اللہ کے سب بندے اس کی نگاہ میں ہیں
और अगर (कहीं) खुदा लोगों की करतूतों की गिरफ्त करता तो (जैसी उनकी करनी है) रूए ज़मीन पर किसी जानवर को बाक़ी न छोड़ता मगर वह तो एक मुक़र्रर मियाद तक लोगों को मोहलत देता है (कि जो करना हो कर लो) फिर जब उनका (वह) वक्त अा जाएगा तो खुदा यक़ीनी तौर पर अपने बन्दों (के हाल) को देख रहा है (जो जैसा करेगा वैसा पाएगा)
